The server celebrated its 6th anniversary on the 10th of April 2018. Sorry for making this post extremely late, I have been very busy with other things and could not find the time to compile some statistics. I had been wanting to do some fancy statistics on the server activity with and without afk time but I simply haven't had the time to do that, so I ended up settling for much more basic statistics instead, which I was able to do in under an hour.
This is the amount of player logins to the server, daily, since it began on the 10th of April 2012. The red line is the 20-day moving average (an average of all the values for the previous 20 days at that point). As you can see, there are some notable spikes on the graph:
Spike 1. 27th of October 2012: 512 logins
Spike 2. 28th of December 2012: 787 logins
Spike 3. 26th of October 2013: 5201 logins
Spike 4. 21st of June 2014: 1741 logins
Spike 5. 3rd of September 2014: 2170 logins
Spike 5. 20th of December 2014: 2087 logins
Spike 6. 7th of April 2017: 889 logins
Spike 7. 30th of September 2017: 757 logins
Spike 8. 8th of April 2018: 478 logins
I've picked out these spikes based on the amount of logins increasing by greater than 100% of the moving average (or essentially double or more times the moving average). Comment below if you have any ideas as to what these events correspond to! Also here's some trivia: From March 2018 until now, the moving average has hovered around 200 (average 214, currently 210.3). This is the lowest in over 5 years, since the last time it was this low was in 28/12/2012. I'm sure you can already see this from the graph though. Additionally, from looking at player count statistics for the server on minecraft-mp.com, we have reached 4 consecutive months where the maximum players online has not been above 24. This also hasn't happened since the maximum number of slots was set at 20, which was in early 2013. In other words, the number of players on the server is at its lowest level in 5 and a half years.
