The Overploob's Admin Application.

Recently Ive got to thinking: Its been a bit since I was given mod, and fell into performing staff duties on a regular basis. But, because I was accepted, I stopped receiving feedback on how I was doing, which usually took place on my mod app. The following post is going to be a mock application for Admin, or in otherwords, a pseudo-app for people to leave feedback on. Due to the fact that it would in theory be for a promotion, I will be changing the way the application is written slightly. NOTE: This is NOT a real application for admin, as admin is not determined via application to my knowledge. This post is SOLELY to use the +1/-1 and reasons why system of giving feedback. Also, props to Beetle for sparking this idea, and to the couple people I talked to about doing this and telling me its a good idea xP IGN: Loki570023 Age:18 Gender: Male Current Position: Moderator Approx. Time holding said Position: Unsure as to exact amount, but a good few months now I believe. Position being applied for: Admin. Reasoning: After having spent a long time looking forward to the day I get moderator, I finally got it. And now, Ive been in the staff shoes for some time, and I feel I have a good grasp of what is required to be a staff member. Thus, Ive submitted an Admin application for community review, and hope that the comments given are open and honest. Attributes: Pros- Generally Non-biased. On nearly all issues, I retain the logic and calmness to find both sides of a situation. Helpful. I always reply to discord pings when I see them, and do my best to stay on top of ingame chat. Interactive. I feel I have good interactions with most of the community, and I joke around a lot, and try to avoid being overly strict. Cons- Triggers. On certain issues, such as judging others for their sexuality, or harassment over similar issues, I tend to have a zero-tolerance policy. Anger- While generally lighthearted even while staffing, often joking around, if I DO get angry about an issue I feel strongly about, I can find myself retorting sarcastically/condescendingly to whichever player is being overly-stubborn and refusing to let an issue that is resolved lie, sometimes resulting in further staff action. Stress- I have a good amount of stress in my life, and sometimes it shows in my behaviour, something I am trying to control. If I have missed any of my key points in how I am on the server, staffing or otherwise, feel free to point them out. Timezone: EST. Availability: My playtime varies day-to-day, however I am almost always on the discord, and usually reply to staff pings even if the issue appears resolved, to determine if I need to hop on for a minute to fix things. Afterthoughts/About/Explanation: Lets see, the personal part of an application. There really isnt much to say here. Ive explained a lot of things on my mod application. But...I feel like I know a lot of the players, and am generally an approachable guy. I consider a large portion of the server either good friends or acquaintances, and for the ones Im not to familiar with, Im always open to talking to new people. I love staffing here, and I strove for about TWO YEARS to get mod. But Ive achieved that goal, and its not lost on me that I could go even further to help the server I love so much, have made so many friends and memories on, good and bad. Truly do I feel a dedication to this server that is simply...absent, from anywhere else. On my mod app(s) I went into some more personal details, and all those still apply if you want to look. But, to sum it all up for those who dont want to read all that, on an already large brick of text, basically: This place is important to me, and will be for the foreseeable future. Why, you ask? A lot of reasons, not all of them relevant. Just know whether you like me or not, if you are here, you are apart of this server, and therefore, in my eyes, you matter, quite possibly more than you can understand. This post is about whether or not he's doing his job well, and wants feedback accordingly, not who should be next admin. If he were to apply for admin, he would know what he's doing right, wrong, and if he's not doing something he should be.

Other staff I ask are usually like "wait" or AFK but Loki drops everything to help me out. QueenColor	Date sent: 2017/10/22 21:27:29 As a moderator, you do a good job at being a Mod. However, I'm not sure about you being an Admin, so for an Admin, abstain. But your performance overall as a Moderator is really good, +1 on how good you are as a Mod. Not sure if that makes sense, but yeah! You're a good moderator but I'm not sure how you'd fair as an Admin. However, since this is for your performance as a Mod & feedback from the community, +1. Make sure to stay active but all in all, you're a good Mod. Keep it that way :)
