At some point within the past day, I have been permanently banned for "Spite claiming and griefing". This is absolutely ludicrous. I'm very familiar with the incident that has caused this ban to occur but that doesn't make me agree with it in the slightest. I claimed some land which was next to leke's base and started building in it. Yes, it was no coincidence that it was next to leke's, but I actually griefed nothing and claimed wilderness chunks which, mind you, had an empty chunk of no builds in between it and leke's base on all edges. These chunks had nothing in them and were completely unused. I'm not sure when inventing offences like "spite claiming" became a thing that is acceptable when permanently banning people? Furthermore, I'm completely unaware of anything that I actually griefed? His base and his land is still there and completely untouched and unaffected by my builds. This entire ban does not make any sense. I've been trying to think of reasons in my head which might explain it but I can't. Did I claim over something he built? No Did I build something offensive near his base? No Did I touch his base? No Did I even touch the empty land in the chunks that surrounded his base? No. The only conclusion that I can possibly come to is that people on this server will find ANY reason to ban a member of jamalnco. Regardless of whether the staff LIKE us or not, we are players playing on this server who have not broken rules but continue to be punished for behaviours which go unpunished for any other members on the server. This server holds great sentimental value for all of us in JamalNCo. But, ultimately, the reality is that when we play on this server, and have fun in our own way - which clearly is a different way to the staff team - we are punished, regardless of whether we break rules or not. The truth is that jamalnco, and wonesnco before it, have always been punished unfairly because the other players on this server don't "like" us. Funnily enough, a few days ago, on the 28th I logged onto this server to play for my tenth year since first joining it. And now, just a few days later, I can't play on it at all because a rule has been invented solely for the purpose of banning me and getting me off the server for whatever reason. Spyro0104 |

If you want to play on this server, you should really behave according to its rules… One would think that, after 10 years, you would learn that much. It’s not that players or staff don’t like your way of playing, it’s that your way of playing is against the rules and is directly hindering other players’ experience on the server. Let me know if something else is unclear :) |

Spite claim is claiming directly next to a faction to purposefully prevent them form expanding/building." Capture 1 Capture 2 Here are some samples, kindly provided by Lero. On the second picture we see that you built an ugly wall right around 21leke's claim, his base being on the other side of it. You built nothing else on your land, the only purpose of this wall, in my eyes, is to annoy 21leke. You just came out of a tempban for griefing 21leke's base, and you immediately came after him again. Spite claim on its own is not a major breach, but in this case it shows you haven't learned your lesson. Thus, we found a permanent ban to be justifiable. Now I hope you understand what you did wrong, and that this will help you make a constructive apology. Happy holidays! |

The rule book also states that spite claiming will lead to land being unclaimed. Not being permanently banned. Thank you for your explanation Sukovic, i do now see that I have broken the rules, which i wasn’t aware of until now, but I also hardly see how a temporary ban for 3 days can escalate to a permanent ban from an offence that otherwise goes unpunished? |

The staff team has reviewed the evidence, and unanimously agree that the claims and grief were deliberately made to disrupt and upset the victim.The victim in question is the same victim that you were harassing just days ago, which resulted in your 2 day tempban. You're welcome to make a new appeal, or edit this one, and apologize for your actions, then we'll be more than happy to consider a reduced ban. But as it stands now, this appeal is Denied. |
