Like I have to explain? You all know what's going on, you're probably part of it. The server is lucky to have more than 5 people on at a time anymore, most of the day it's just 2 people. We hardly even peak in the evening like we used to, it's just dead and empty, even staff have been playing a lot less, with notable exceptions. (Petrogang you're killing it.) What's the cause of this? Are people just generally uninterested? Too busy? We had more people on when we updated to 1.14 and it was constantly broken. Hopefully 1.15 won't be broken like 1.14 was, or I'd say the server will actually just die. 1.15 should increase player count, but who knows. Tell me why you individuals have been on less, anyone who reads this, you all have a reason, I know you do because you used to play with me too, now I don't see most of you. There's some reason that our server is broken, and we have to fix it. |

The Server has been declining for years, every time i come back after a trip there seems to be less and less people that are actively on the server.When i first joined 5 years ago? i think it was, this server was nearly always full, its a shame to see the server just dead all the time. |

Its the time right before the holidays, and right before a new update.Much like last update, the server dipped insanely low before booming right back up to normal. This time, however, its happening right around the holiday season, so people are getting in their final crunch before holiday break, thus, the server has only 2 people on at most at all times. It'll just bounce back like it does literally every time lmao. |

It has been, many times.Thing about memory is, we tend to forget the boring, uneventful memories, because those are not worth remembering. Thats why you probably don't remember that this exact same thing more or less happens every year. |

Staff are worried about the problem and evidently talking about how to fix it, however staff also don't want to get on (According to Byn). So let's see if we do jack shit and it fixes itself. The update should bring new players, but we're all part of this community, we don't give two flying fucks about some random cunts that get on just to remain silent. Forget the new people joining, I'm talking about all the pre-established members that don't seem to care about the server right now. Y'all gave up on it. This only gets fixed when ALL OF YOU start doing something about it. Not just hoping things get better because it's happened before. That's called being a lazy cunt. |

I've been playing a lot let because it's not just the same as it used to be. There not much to do, and it's just getting boring, and the things I want to do and achieve on the server simply can't be done, because of how unpopular the server is atm. |

I have actually mentioned it in a story I did in the paper a few months ago actually, but nobody really took it seriously. Some people have been trying to make new thing to make the server more interesting like the mush co news paper and James' mini games, but I don't think it's done enough. |

The holiday decline/school and stuff is very true, the server goes through an activity cycle, although with hype games such as fortnite and things, the server is still declining and these cycles get worse with each passing year. I got no solutions on how to fix it since Minecraft is dying as a whole |

Ye it died like 30 times in the last 7 years. Just wait for summer and it will be alright again like always. Maybe 1.15 might add a few people too. I remember this same time last year we all said "server ded, last legs" and here we are a year later again. |

I'm not sure if the version release would actually fix it though. Maybe temporarily but you'll eventually go to the 5 player count again. It's not like before when there was almost a full server when a new version was released and/or a map reset. It used to be more active around this time of the year as well.Server activity declining throughout the year is nothing new, although unfortunately, it's getting worse each year with less and less players staying active. |

I disagree with the idea that updates fix low player counts. Yes the server has a spike when updates are released but after the novelty wears off it inevitably goes back down, this makes it seem more just like a temporary fix to keep it ticking over. The fact the server spends most of the day with less that 10 players should be seen as a problem, and i think there should be an emphasis on advertising and encouraging voting to get Mush back up to being found by new people. I would say the server has been going on a constant decline, just these short second wind updates distract everyone from the problem. |

Honestly I don't see why we're going to wait a few more months to update. I think once 1.15 has world edit so we can transfer builds, we should immediately reset. The current world has been through 1.14 and now the 1.15 update, by no means is it overcrowded and impossible to build, but it definitely has overstayed. It's become boring, like most everyone agrees. |

To the people saying "the activity will go up like it always does!": It is true that this has happened multiple times in the past, but you shouldn't just expect it to return to life all on it's own.We should all be putting in an active effort to try and increase the player count by voting everyday, inviting friends, leaving reviews on the sites we advertise on such as minecraftforums and Planet Minecraft, making new and fun content for players to enjoy, and being welcoming and friendly to new players by inviting them to factions or playing with them in general. That last one is especially important, this is a survival multiplayer server, or "peaceful factions". People do not come here to play vanilla survival on their own, if they wanted to do that, they'd stay in singleplayer. Right now we're experiencing a decline in ALL of the following areas: Defaults joining Defaults STAYING after joining Long time players staying interested. We as the staff team can only do so much, and we'll continue doing it, and even more if we're able to, but we need the whole community to help bring the server back to life in this age of Minecraft's decline. If we all do our part we can get our numbers up sooner than later, and trust me, it'll be a lot easier to do it sooner than it would be to do it later. |

Consider changing up the voting rewards to encourage voting. Players don't usually care to do recaptchas 4-5 times everyday just for $40 igm, 0-3 lotto tickets, and a 4.25% chance at getting a vote token.You can't rely on patriotism alone to keep the server on life support. You need to get developers or learn how to develop so you can make the changes needed so players want to do all this stuff; patriotic or not. Atop this, Luigi needs to surrender his ownership of the server so such changes can be made. |

Considering that people lack the interest to play, it probably isn't too outlandish to assume they would lack a patriotic or feeling of pride towards the server. We need to engage more with the community to make it active and welcoming. Let's all hold events, do group work, I know we've all got our own things to do but if we don't interact with others then what's the point of playing together at all? I don't really see a problem with the voting rewards, it's $50 igm, a few lottery tickets, and that small chance of getting a vote token. I will say the vote token chances are pretty weird, you could get like 5 within a month, while someone else might not see any for years and years of voting everyday. The issue is that voting is really only worth it for less fortunate/wealthy players, so somehow we need to get more people voting. I don't think that much can/will change in terms of rewards though. And I do agree, Luigi needs to let the new Owners actually have ownership. Without the power to change, Shad will not be able to cause change. All praise Shad! The new light of Webbcraft. |
