*edited as of 6/27/18*NOTICE* Originally, this mod app was made as a joke, because the server is dying and it's funny. However, I've recently decided I genuinely want to be a staff member on this server, for a few reasons which are detailed in the post below. This post has been heavily edited, and I strongly consider all people who've replied reread and reconsider since things are different. Thank you all for reading, and I hope you find me worthy. ====================================================== Your in-game name: Aouldrain How old you are: 16, but that can change if you want it to. Your gender: I am but a humble BOI Have you been banned on any other servers? I was banned once a long time ago on a server because I filled a mountain with TNT. To be fair, this was 6 years ago and the owner was a pussy. Why do you think you should be a moderator? Originally I just talked about how I had a long history of experience on this server, and that's it. That's unfitting, since that's not a good reason for a staff position. Hence, here's a better reason: I've always enjoyed playing on this server, I guess I sort of really got through the past 4 years thanks to you guys on the server, it's been really fun, and I've gotten to really know you guys a lot, and I want to pay you all back by helping you grow. Most of you could probably tell I've matured a lot since my last ACTUAL attempt for staff. (Although I did get a lot of support for my last mod app) As as staff member I'll enforce all of the rules strictly, but still fairly, and I'll make sure that the players on the server have a lot of fun while they're there. I'll make sure to try to contribute to the server with more than just my use of /kick or /ban or things like that. I'll probably be trying to host more community events, or help with the revival of the server, which as you currently know is dying. (I have a few plans for the revival of the server, but I'll post them on a separate forum post.) Hopefully that's a bit better than the previous version. How long can you be active on the server every day? I should be able to come on anytime during the next 2 months. Come September however it'll be cut to be past 5 pm EST due to school. What country do you live in? America. More specifically, the east coast. I'll go for a bit fat +0.5.Here's my reasonning: - Very active, on the server, in chat and on the forum. - You have critical opinions on many things and you defend your opinion with actual arguments, even if people disagree. - You actually care about the server and the people that are play on it. However, i feel like you could be biased when Pheo will get into trouble (Yes, i assume that he'll get into trouble). I'm not 100% convinced on how you would deal with a situation that implies your friends, but if you can prove me that i'm wrong, go for it ! I really think that you could do great, so show me that i'm wrong, and i'll change my 0.5 to a +1. |

I rarely comment on modapps these days for what I hope are obvious reasons.But aoulds application intrigues me. Aould, you are a long term player, and have the potential to be quite the staff member were you to take it seriously. However, as you are fully aware, your behaviour, particularly on the forums and towards particular players you dislike, is not exactly conducive to good staff behaviour. You hold grudges and biases, and take small issues way too far sometimes. Youve also admitted numerous times, including in your last comment on this application, that you "threaten and mock people who do something to you". Implying that the first time a player you didnt like even remotely annoyed you, you would threaten them, and it would gain far more meaning as a threat if you held staff powers. I also know that you are fully aware of everything ive said, and have no intention of changing the obvious issues. My vote is a -1, but a curious one. If you know all these things, why the application? |

I guess I should be more descriptive about "do something to me." I'll write this as if I were staff.Lets say that somebody, lets call them Darren, was calling me names. I'd brush it off, because it's just simple name calling. This would be a "small annoyance" Now lets say that Darren started to constantly act like an asshole to me whenever I got on. This is toxic behavior, so I would give them a short mute every time they do it because this is toxic behavior Now, Darren purposefully breaks the rules simply to annoy me. I'd punish them accordingly, which would most likely be a simple jailing. Now, they do anything they can to ruin my time on the server. This is when it's gone a bit too far, and I give out a 3 day temp-ban. Now, they've gone and Doxxed me. I bring it up in staff chat, and would suggest a month-long ban. That's the process I'd take with punishment. |

Ok,First of all, I want you to know that I actually think that you would make a good staff member, even though you take a strong disliking to me. As has already been said, you don't take the right things very seriously, and the wrong things too seriously. Also you do tend to hold grudges biases and give false information to newer players. I, on the cold side of you see this more than half the time, but I know you can be responsible. For this reason I give you a -1, but if for the next few months I see you helpful, talking about appropriate subjects, and not creating a cold aura around you wherever you go, I will change this to a +1. |

1 the tower that had lava on it was a spite build. It was intentionally built to the edges of the claim from the top to the bottom of the world to piss off anyone who built nearby (primarily aoul, who once had a build there before the eyesore of a tower was constructed.)2. the build was fireproof, so the lava wall caused no harm to anyone. 3. this app is closed. |
