listen buddy, if you're getting your feelings hurt by basic critique, then you should not even apply for mod. I just wanted to say, thank you to everyone who gave me a negative review. It means a lot to me. This TOTALLY made my my self esteem SO much higher. It's not meant to. It's meant to give you feedback on how much the community wants you as mod. And how do you think THIS is going to make me want to stop doing the bad things I do? I have 0 motivation anymore. This doesn't help me want to stop spamming and caps. Saying this isn't helping anyone. It's only making yourself look desperate for attention. I don't need your guys' opinion, okay? I have my own standards. And I'm trying. the whole point of a mod app is to get the community's opinion on you. Your standards do not matter. Trying does not matter, if your effort amounts to nothing. So you don't have to tell me about how immature I am about how I would make bad choices. Exactly the point of a mod app. To tell you why you shouldn't become mod, or why you should. If people are giving you negative reviews, then deal with it, and continue pushing for what you want. You don't see it because I'm always fooling around with Will, but I can be extremely responsible and mature. No evidence provided. No one ever, even in real life, ever points out the good things I do Do you know what a mod app is? Do you think it's only to make you feel nice and warm and fuzzy? Do you think that people care about your feelings when they respond to mod apps? They don't. They respond because they want responsible staff, who can take critique, who can be responsible, and who won't get offended by every comment in existence. Did you even know that I do GOOD THINGS? What a surprise. I would never even suspect. Anyways you people made my self esteem back down to what it was when I was depressed - 0. Listen buddy. I'm sorry that you've been depressed. But if you can't take this type of critique, then don't apply at all. It's just not the right job for you. Conclusion: I don't think you understand what the point of a mod app is. It's not about you. It's about the feedback you get from other people. The people who have responded to your mod app have not been rude in any way. They have not been overly disrespectful. Believe me, I was once that overly disrespectful person, and I know what that looks like. In fact, I view their comments as very constructive, and concise. I'm sorry, but in the long run, especially with mod apps, and with any application of any type (including in the real world), people don't care about your feelings. They care about your skill and your talent. According to the community, you don't have those traits. So stop whining, and try to improve yourself, rather than point fingers at those who were kind enough to tell you of your own flaws. |

I think Galbs nailed it there. Part of asking for a job based on merit is about being professional and accepting criticism; if you are unable to meet these prerequisites, as many are, then don't apply. |

Staff Applications are here to get feedback from others on how they think you are doing and gauging that on a scale of -1 to 1. It’s not meant to be a confidence booster or a complete let down. It’s meant for criticism on how the community feels you can get better and hopefully one day become mod material. Any and all comments that one should actually pay attention to on a mod app are those with explanations because that person actually took the time to write something out to help YOU. If you can’t take the criticism then I’d suggest waiting until you truly can. As of now it’s a -1 from me since I don’t really see any effort into not spamming nor lessening the caps and I don’t really see this high maturity that you continue to speak of so much. |

1: This post is in the wrong section.2: You are supposed to use your reviews as means of learning how the public wants you to act, not as a motivator to get you to act better. 3: You shouldn't rely on others for motivation. While outside support can help, change comes from within yourself. Find something in you that makes you tick, and make it work. |

You're looking at it the wrong way. You put info about yourself and then people give their thoughts on what you need to improve on, Not how to improve. You've gotta work on that yourself, maybe ask some friends to help.And they aren't trying to sound mean, the reason a lot of people don't mention "good things" is because there's really no benefit in bringing it up if it's something you're already good at. The point of applications is to improve on your flaws to become somebody worthy of a staff rank, not to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. If you're upset at the replies it may be a sign you need to wait a little longer before applying. Being a staff member is a whole lot more harsher than the replies you get on your application so you might need more time. |

Aoi....when you made the mod app you should have known people would be negative sometimes, and you should be okay with that, plus they hopefully aren't really trying to be negative their just giving their opinion on what you should work on and stuff, you do get upset really easily and this kinda just proved it, ily Aoi and you know that but that means I'm going to be honest with you. I agree you can be mature-ish when you need to be, but also not, you contradict things a lot, and get mad over things other people have and you don't. You really need to work On that. Don't get mad at me and stop calling me because I'm sayIng all this. Your self asteem shouldn't get lower because of this, they we're tips, constructive criticism, not intended to offend you. Also you don't do bad things to yourself, you promised me anyway, but that doesn't fit with the topic. Anyway just work on the things they said to work on, and I need to work on them too trust me it's not just you at all, no one is perfect, but take this whole shenanigan of a message as advice from someone who knows you well. Your awesome but just calm down |

This reaction is precisely why you're not ready. It has only proven to me that you wont be ready for quite some time. you have to be mature enough to handle criticism and use it to better yourself. As Shad said, these criticisms aren't meant to belittle you. |

Aoi, I think you're a good player, but your reaction to the criticism proves that you are not ready to be staff. We have nothing against you as a server, and as much as we are regretful that your self esteem was lowered by this, if you want to become staff at some point, you can't react like you have when people say they don't think you're ready and point out where you need to improve.It's great that you're trying, and as you play, and see how other staff do things, you will gradually learn what it means to be staff and how to act appropriately. Just try not to take things too much to heart - we don't mean to insult you when we comment! |
