Join a toxic faction, freak out when everyone in that faction gets banned, continuously insult the server and its people, and when something doesn't go your way, spawn withers at spawn to ensure a ban, then crawl back to the server in the distant future begging to be unbanned? Sure, we should all follow in your legacy.

you are an obvious simpleton, but I do not blame the ignorant.

Also, you love to put yourself and your friends on a pedestal.
"The Server needs us" or the classic "The server will die if we get banned".

This server has gone through many toxic players, get off your high horse.

When "wonesnco" started forming and was active - 30-40 players a night (sometimes 50)
When sak was banned and "wonesnco" was not as active - 12-23 players a night
just some observations

And? We've had almost a full server way before wones, sak or you joined.

Before is the keyword here. The most definite reason for a survival server of this kind's success is not the content as eventually you get tired of building and mining, but the community. Before sak and wones and or others were here, there was a whole set of different players, who obviously kept the server interesting enough for people to keep playing. Eventually new players fill the shoes of the old players and the cycle goes on. "wonesnco" added controversy and opposition in the server, making the server more interesting. The chat was always active when we were on, and the conversations always had some edge. If people are not being entertained (besides the people that solely play for the content of the game) then they will obviously leave, and that's what happened when the faction was less active and Sak was banned. Eventually new players will fill in those shoes, and the player rate will probably go up. You cannot deny though the "drama" caused by wonesnco increased player rates as people found it entertaining to watch and take part of what was going on. If people are just having conversations everyday like "how was your day?" or "welcome back!!", most will get bored eventually, especially newer players. It's pretty logical.

Nah, tbh, the player activity seems completely unrelated to wonesnco. It is only natural that the playerbase goes up and down. It happens all the time, with or without drama. There are heaps of players who do not like drama, or who don't like being insulted as a joke.

Here's a translation to what Karbs is saying:

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Wones N Co. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical player’s head. There’s also Sak's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The playerbase understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Wones N Co truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Sak's existential catchphrase “Welcome b*tch,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Wones' genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them
