Everyone who says wikipedia is unreliable is just trying to invalidate their opponents argument. Everyone knows that if you're questioning the truthfullness of a wikipedia article, you can just check the sources at the bottom of the page. If they are correct, then the article is reliable. |

Someone at my old school got suspended for calling someone a "cracker", so I would not say the word is taken so lightly. Calling Americans stupid or other insults specifically directed towards their ethnicity is the equivalent of saying all Africans are stupid slaves or Jews are the lowest life form on the earth. |

I've never heard of the word 'cracker' being used as a derogatory term. To me it's either a cracker as in the ones that you eat or cracker as in someone who cracks codes. |

Idk about you, but where I'm from, a cracker refers to a small handmade explosive.It also refers to thin sheets of crunchy bread, a person with an unstable temper, and many other non-racist terms. |

@presinus and LuigiWords can have different meanings depending on where you are in the world. In America, the term cracker has several meanings including one used as a racial slur towards Caucasian people. |

The only problem that I have with that is saying "I hate ni**ers" and "Americans are fucking stupid". Calling someone a cracker, I don't care and I'm white, but only because I'm not like that. However, that doesn't invalidate alpaca's argument that black racism is taken more serious than white, but certain laws actually support blacks over whites for jobs. Which is ridiculous. I'm just saying that y'all need to chill with controversial shit because some people are sorry pussies who can't bear the fact that someone said their 82nd hair strand was too short. |

HANG HIIIIIM!In all seriousness though, there's a pretty big difference between saying that americans are stupid (they were messing around ffs), using a slang term that no-one ever uses to describe white people and is usually a joke, and using a term created by slavers and supremacists to refer to an entire race that can't control their skin. I'm pretty against inequality (I promote forking communism, often called the very end of the political spectrum), but this is just stupid. |

The difference is "cracker" means many non-racial things as well as ONE racial term.The term "nigger" has only one definition, and that one definition is racial. |
