Karbs Grief of a home near spawn A week ago (12/01/2017) I was recently banned for the 800-block grief of a house near spawn. It started when I got kevinhec’s land at spawn to start building my skyscraper, which I had been anxious to build for a while. Upon starting, another friend of mine moved in the same area to start building city-like buildings with me, so we started a city project near spawn. Most of the land was available to build, as the area was harbored with old factions whose land would later be unclaimed for us to build since they were inactive. Then I noticed a little cobblestone house, whose land had not been claimed. I assumed it was apart of the faction called TheAsura, who had been inactive for several months now, so I would have right to get rid of it. I still waited a couple of days for the owner to return, yet I saw no one, so I assumed it was okay to destroy. This was wrong thinking back, and should have asked staff first. Hours after wrecking the house the owner came on astonished that his home had been bulldozed, and I was of course permanently banned. I do not think I handled the situation correctly, but I also feel that I should not have been punished so severely for my ignorance. I got too carried away with trying to build the perfect city at spawn and in the process, I became too avaricious with the surrounding land. I meant no harm to the owner of the house and had no malicious intent, I just assumed he was inactive, and that I could demolish his home. Also, I would like to address people that may call me toxic on the server or on discord. Most of my actions done on the server/discord are not actually meant, but rather just to get a reaction out of people or to just mess around. I would never say or mean anything harmful to someone in person, and I just do it on here for laughs and my entertainment. I did not realize that many people were taking my behavior seriously, I’m sorry for the people I have maybe upset in the process. The people who knew me know I did not have any malicious intent. If I am ever let back on the server, I will tone down my attitude. I’m not trying to beg you to let me back in the server, I just hope you can consider my points from a non-bias view. I’ll respect your decision if you do choose to keep me banned. I am though sorry for my recent actions on the server, and think it was just a big misunderstanding. I do hope I can be let back soon. |

+1 probably one of the most active members of this server, and is usually called toxic for dumb reasons, such as for disagreeing with staff. As for the greif, he most definitely should have been punished. But, he wasn't trying to troll, as many people who do greif do it to troll. In this particular incident, it was a complete misunderstanding, and the punishment was pretty harsh |
