Proof of randito using bc

All staff gone/afk (armz is afk)
I have Randito /ignore'd. And he absolutely knows that. He continues to broadcast to talk to me. Even thought I appreciate the welcome back, I have him ignored for a reason. The pictures above only show it happening once, but I have logs of him doing it multiple times, I'd just have to look through my logs folder. I also noticed he does it when staff are not around, and if I could show more proof of him doing it when there is no staff on at all, I would. He knows that what he is doing is wrong because he wouldn't do it in front of a staff member, in fear of being punished. The screenshots show what happened today, and don't have a screenshot of him doing it when there is no staff on at all. Sorry Randito, but this is really annoying.

I've not once witnessed someone getting BC taken away; and that says a lot considering 85% of people with BC abuse it.

Y’’all know that this doesn’t warrant any removal of /bc right? At most this would have been a warning if at all. Alpaca try as you might but my commands aren’t going anywhere.

Why do push it? Deciding your own punishment is showing you know you did wrong, but you don't care because you know you won't be punished for it the first time.
Do you plan to break every rule once and get away with just a warning for each one?

Actually no I’m not deciding my own punishment, I talked to a staff member about it and that’s where I got my response from presinus. Also the 2 times that I did do it weren’t at all trying to be rude to paca, I was literally just welcoming him back.

Pfft, you've done it more than 2 times. Maybe 5/6. Its not that you're rude, you're just annoying

Reporting him to have his BC removed for...saying Welcome back? Thats uh.. As far as im aware no one has had commands removed for being nice in chat.
Ill ask randal not to do it anymore if people saying "wb" is really that annoying. But getting his commands removed for it is probably rather far fetched.

Imagine walking into Walmart, and the greeter uses the intercom to greet you.
It ain't right.

It's different Pres.
When somebody in Walmart greets you to your face, the entire store doesn't hear it. Either way, the entire server would see you say WB to somebody.

loki, but as Alpacca said and as evidently shown by the screenshots, it appears he did it only to annoy alpacca knowing alpacca had him ignored.
That's a clear abuse of broadcast in my book

Even though welcoming back is a nice gesture, he's doing it with the intention to annoy alpacca, not to welcome him back, ive never seen him welcome anyone back using broadcast, and if he knows alpaca had him ignored, he's breaking his boundaries

@Aould: Broadcast is to get everyone's attention, like an intercom.
Walmart was a bad example.
Let's say you walked into a large convenience store, where everyone can hear each other from any part of the store. The cashier picks up the intercom and welcomes you.
It still ain't right.

Are you kidding me right now? First off, pres that’s the same dang example you used before just changed Walmart to large convenience store. 2nd off how tf do you know what my intentions are wones?!?! Let me make this clear, I WAS NOT TRYING TO ANNOY ALPACA! Don’t you dare say what someone’s intention was without it being your own. You have no clue what they intend to do, nobody but them knows.

I changed the setting because Walmart is way too big to hear someone on the opposite side of the store.
Take a breath, mate.

I would have to agree that yes Randito might have abused /bc, purposely to invoke a reaction of some sort out of alpaca, but I don't feel that someone saying "welcome back" to you merits a whole thread in the complaint section. It just seems a bit pointless as your acting like he's completely harassing you while its just two words. It's a fuckin block game why are we getting triggered when someone says "welcome back", does it really annoy you that bad you had to take screenshots and report the dude on a minecraft forum page. Also presinus that example is kind of dumb, because you will always hear the intercom loud and clear, and it would disturb the order of the store, but you cant compare that to one line of green text in chat that most people are not going to give two twats about.

About a month and a half after joining the server, I asked an admin what it means to abuse broadcast (because broadcast abuse was a hot topic at the time), and they told me broadcast is to be used as an intercom in a store. Abuse of broadcast would be to use it as part of a conversation, or to communicate to anything less than the entire server. "wb paca" is a greeting directed to alpacafarm. Unless alpacafarm was alone on the server, and that was him greeting himself, that was certainly abuse of broadcast.

Also, Alpaca made it clear he was not complaining about being welcomed, but about Ran using broadcast to bypass mute.

First, I never stated that it was not an abuse of broadcast, all I am trying to say is that the example of the store intercom and relating it to /bc is obsurd. You cannot compare those two. Sure it is to make announcements, but you you cant physically hear /bc and it is not as pestering as an actual intercom.

Secondly, he's not bypassing mute he was /ignored, and I'm not saying he's complaining about the meaning of the words, but them actually being there in chat (if you understand me here). Just seems a bit pointless, no hate towards you alpca nibbba.

Whether or not the reference was absurd is entirely dependant on the viewer's bias.
And I meant to say ignore, not mute. My bad on that part.

Like I said, I'm not bothered by the fact that he said wb to me. It bothers me that he is abusing broadcast and its pretty obvious to me that he did it to be annoying. I have him ignored, so why else would he do it?

It's actually more obvious that he did it just to welcome you back and be polite. He wanted to be polite, but you had him ignored, so he used /bc. You're being a pussy.
