Out of curiosity, i was wondering how staff are chosen here? I see the whole +1 -1 business going on in the application section, but does that alone choose? Or are people chosen partially on that, and partially on something else? Thanks in advance. |

Yes, votes do mean shit.Every once In wma while, usually when a staff member leaves, or there is a period where there are never staff on someone, usually the higher ups will host a mini election of sorts, with the highest voted applicants as the candidates. Then similar to the mod applications people will vote who they would like as staff. Donations are just donations now. I believe we still keep the current commands we have as donors though. |

I feel like Luigi is just tired of explaining the whole name change biz. Basically everyone thinks it's like changing your name from "Aaron Smith" to "Aron Smith" when really it's like taking a white guy named "Aaron Smith", tanning him black, changing his name to "Miguel Gasir", moving him to Hawaii and changing all of his contact info including his SSN. |

Why must pretty much every topic created on this forum constantly get derailed? it's fucking pathetic.------ Yes, Votes (+1 or -1 or abstain) all go towards when luigi and the staff team choose a new Trial-Mod. First we look at timezones. In a case where we may need more than one new Trial-Mod, we will look at what timezones we need to have more staff online, and eliminate the staff members that are unavailable at the time we need them. Second we talk about the remaining available applicants that we have noticed in-game, which we think have the ability and mindset to handle Staff here. Third we look at what the community thinks of these particular players, gauging from the total of +1s, -1s, and Abstains. If the community gets on well with them and also sees potential, they move onto the next stage. Last if we only have one applicant left, we promote them. If we have more than one applicant, the staff team has a vote on who they would prefer. Then within 48 hours they are promoted, If they do not mess up and change the mind of the team. |

looking at this, i should have a good chance of being chosen due to a lot of the recent +1s i've gotten on my app. only a select few really hate me, and i can't think of anything recent i've done to piss off anybody (besides -1ing some apps if that counts). i'm pretty damn active when i'm not falsely banned, and i'm not really known for being a dick to people.the only staff who kinda had a problem with me was chip. |

I see potential in dreemurr, he got falsely banned 3 times and stayed, that's Determination. He always kept calm even after being insulted all those times, that's Good Temper. There's a few reason I don't see Asriel fit for being staff yet. Take a look at his mod app and you will find a lot of people -1'ing. Many of these people are inactive or banned, and they definitely do not show that people don't like Asriel in general, but it does show that he doesn't have a good temper and is not very good at handling criticism and arguments. This is something you will have to be able to do as staff, as people will get mad at you. Asriel seems mature though. If he can get a hold of his temper and learn to ignore the guys deliberately bugging him, it's be a huge change. |

@emliy - i don't disagree with what you said completely, as i can see what you mean about my temper, but there are a few things that i would like to respond with.1. a lot of the people who don't like me either act that way towards me because i reported them and got them punished, i don't think the same way they do in situations, i am undertale trash, or they follow along with others because they think it's cool to hate on me. 2. i understand that i have reacted in a negative way in the past due to some assholes that were constantly messing with me to piss me off, and i've tried to restrain myself from doing so in he past month, so please do understand. 3. honestly, i think there are at least 3x as many people that either like me, or don't really care that i'm there than the people who go out of their way to mess with me. the only ones i can think of right now are harvoo and beet (a while ago) |

That was kinda my point. Just because there are a lot of -1's on Asriel's mod app doesn't mean every hates him. But no matter how many people go at you, and no matter the bullshit reason, you have to be able to soak it up. Kinda feel like Harvoo is doing you a favor in that regard, forcing you to learn that. |

Matt if you're not getting it, I'm kinda defending Asriel here. I literally just said that it doesn't matter if some people don't like him. Asriel is not that immature, but he does have this (perhaps single) flaw, that he's not that good at handling those people, and that's what makes it seem out of proportions. I'm not insulting you, Asriel. If you feel insulted, that's not my fault. I'm trying to state a point that would do you good. |

i didn't take it as an insult. more of constructive criticism. i agree with what you said, and it is hard to deal with the people that f*ck with me for the fun of it.all i have really done is join the server 2 years ago, played with the people i met, made a staff application a few months ago, and shit went down from there. |

I think my only problem would be time zone because I'm CST (America). But, when it is around 7:30-9:30pm (for me) , sometimes no staff are on. But, sometimes there are. |
