Due to my efforts being thwarted twice because of a ridiculous time constriction on how long you can remain logged in when you are obviously authoring a forum post, I'm going to make this guideline short and sweet to avenge the 40 min. I wasted making a thoughtful set of guidelines. The judges will be a panel of myself and a few staff members to have a competent board and ensure authenticity. Let's belt this mf out:First and foremost: No dicks. For the love of all that is holy, nothing phallic or sexually suggestive, obscene, and/or directed toward any one individual, group, or religion. Keep it clean, you freaks. *Use a minimum of 5 blocks in your project's block palette. A palette is a group of blocks that either compliment each other in color tone, texture, provide a pleasant contrast, or a combination of all 3. *Don't build a shack. Shacks are poo and therefore will be treated like poo. *Choose a locale for your build that compliments your theme. Do not build a giant obsidian death citadel in the meadow, you simpleton. Provide some sort of atmosphere for your build, and utilize whatever space you contract for your project well. *If you want to make a landscape, go for it! Build to your hearts content, but do not turn in a complete waste of our time. Do not spend an hour bone-mealing a meadow and call it a project. Alter the landscape with dirt, stone, etc. in order to provide and interesting (and possibly provocative) land formation. *Do not spam staff or myself with private messages or in global chat. This behavior will only earn you a mute/delay in when your project will be evaluated. Entrants may receive up to 2 reevaluations for their work, but may not submit more than 1 project. Any additional projects will not be evaluated. *Leave a sign with your IGN on it so we know your work from another's. It helps associate names and faces with work, which will heavily impact its judging progress. (No secret signs or signature whatevers. Just a vanilla sign.) *Any and all work must be submitted by one and only one person at a time and must be produced by one and only one individual. Entrants may receive critique, advice, and materials from fellow players, but absolutely no aid in building or templates. Also, remember to have fun when you build. We want members to enjoy and not dread their work when faced with it. All entries must be finalized by Saturday at 6:00 pm EST. Judging will begin on Sunday and go on for however long it takes to get through all the entries. Obviously, no projects will be accepted after the aforementioned submission deadline. Amendment I: All applicants must have a playtime of at least 4+ months on the server. This amendment is not to turn away new players, but to ensure faces the community recognizes/trusts will be on the team. The members rep. both the team & the server, so we want the most suited for both roles. Amendment II: It also helps to make a post here to let us know who has and hasn't made a submission instead of chasing you around in-game. Just tell me here if you've created a submission and it'll have a better chance of getting queued. |

If you write a really long post and then submit it only to realise that you have been logged out, you can still resubmit it by logging in on a new tab and then refreshing the page that gave you the "not logged in" error. |

Alright. This thread appears to contain the only people with any mild interest in the Build Team's very existence. I believe we might have a sliver of a beam of hope cast upon a shadowy world by a dying sun for the Team's survival. I'm postponing the deadline for builds to September 14, 7:00pm EST. If no one else steps forward to bring the grand total of entrants who meet the criteria to 5, I cannot be bothered to incite a revival of the team, and it will fade into obscurity; tucked neatly away into the annals of time; just like all of Webbcraft's other failures. |

Isn't there already about 3 people in the build team? I believe another 3 or 4 would be okay |

Alright, everyone; it's the home stretch. Time will be called in about the next 5 hours. If the minimum I mentioned previously hasn't been met, then the BT will be closed indefinitely. I'm not trying to cheat people out of positions for something they wish to be a part of, but it's just impractical to have only 2-3 people on the team. I say 2-3 because I do not expect everyone to make the cut. |
