The Build Team was founded a little over a month ago, and has since done almost nothing. Some members (i.e. lifoo and myself, as far as I'm aware) have built some things for people as favors, but the team as a whole has accomplished nothing. We started the new spawn locale earlier this month, and the progress has stagnated. Unless luigi saved a copy of the region, the entire quarter The Build Team worked on has been scrapped as the old world is no longer available, so the entire thing has been set back to square one. The Chip_Bruh debacle didn't help since we needed him to WorldEdit the rest of the spawn in, and now we're at a loss. If it would behoove everyone, I'd like to propose a restructuring of the build team to have actually contributing and capable members so we can provide some quality structures for people to use. P.S. - I haven't been able to work on any projects in a meaningful way since I don't even have /fly or people to assist in building. As a result, I can't do this alone, if you think I'm just blowing steam. |

Why tf is there even a build team?Legit one of the most pointless things I've heard of. 1. This isn't a themed server. 2. Who is on it? 3. The server has all the builds it needs. |

There is a build team because luigi approved it to create an actually decent spawn that isn't a wooden shack. The point of the Build Team is to provide builds and areas that will attract people, such as a decent spawn, spleef arena(s), a PvP arena, and whatever else the community would want or suggest.1. I know this. Your point being? 2. Lifoo, Anj_, Myself, SneakySquirtle, VintageSmurf, DigSwimMineBuild, Nuc1earLemons, and Tiger101 3. The server still need a respectable place to have the official shop where the shop plot proposal luigi posted on the homepage can work. |

"A Restructuring" I'm sorry but I have to laugh. The build team is pathetic, literally, no members besides you come on anymore (The majority of others either quit for Mumfie's server or just quit as a whole). The spawn project is now what, 2 months over due? It's not going to be finished by this team. The build team has no reason to exist. I'd suggest a complete dissolution of it. If someone (With actually potential, I.E HunterT) wanted to retry and hired some actually good builders, rather than those who quit at the first sign of changing weather, then I would support it. But right now, it is the most incompetent, unreliable, and pointless thing to have existed on the current server.-1 Remove this disaster. |

Proatus, you are the only active player it the build team. I reccomend that you become the leader instead of lifoo, and you hire some active players to do the builds rather than the ones who only get on once every month.I’d be willing to apply, but I don’t really have anything I can show you. If you’ve seen digtopia, I built that with DigSwimMineBuild. I might quickly hop onto the old world and get some photos. |

It looks like I didn't convey my intentions well. What I meant by a restructuring was what you suggested Astro. I agree that with its current inactivity the Build Team is a pathetic, ham-fisted, ramshackle project that neither supported or detracted from the server. We have collaboratively given the community the promise of decent builds and outright disappointed them and embarrassed ourselves. Just goes to show what means well ends up hurting itself. Lifoo hasn't responded in over a month since I last messaged him on Skype. If no one else comes forward, I'd gladly head or create a new Build Team with luigi's approval.tl;dr: I agree with Astro. I want to create a new build team. |

Is the build team allowed Creative Mode??? If not they should as it will help them out a ton, well I think it would as some awesome builds will takes months if you have to go and collect every single item.I agree we need a new active build team. |

I believe the build team should be treated as a staff team. Although they're very different from mods and admins etc, they still have more commands that donators ( if they get GMC )I think that people need to build something in survival take a screenshot and post it on the fourms, people can give advice and opinons with an overall vote of whether they should be in the team or not. Activity,maturity etc all needs to be taken into consideration. Also, promote Proatus to team leader. 10x's more active and useful. |

Thanks, Penq. And from what I understood from the Build Team's first iteration, Luigi refrained from delegating extra commands to build team members because, and I paraphrase, "They don't deserve extra commands because they build nice houses." So to clarify, no member of the build team was given any special treatment/perms for their position. P.S. Almost everyone on the team had gm or /fly before joining anyway, so I was the odd on out. |

Quick update: I'll be making a rough outline for the minimum requirements to become a member of the build team later this evening. Trials will begin either Thursday or Friday (most likely Friday). |

Build Team is just a prefix. It shouldn't entitle anyone to any other command. Command should be given with the rank permissions prior to the prefix Build-Team. (I'm assuming it's still survival here), if everyone has survival, including the ones who paid for a rank that should give creative, what makes Build Team eligible? |

Sparqy, while I can see your reasoning behind hesitating to give commands to people who are not official staff, the Build Team without /gmc is impractical. The economy is stable (with strict regulation on item circulation), so the fear that BT members will abuse the commands for capital isn't prevalent. As prescribed in the BT Guidelines, members are players which the community recognizes and therefore is more likely to trust. I realize that not every player is a saint, but we'll have less problems since the members will be people the community knows well. The rank, while existing as a distinguishing prefix, means that members are contracted to contribute in building for the general public. While it is possible to acquire materials just as well in survival, the time taken to gather them would delay projects considerably. I do not believe BT 'entitles' members to special rank permissions, but without gm the team's work would be significantly less efficient than if the members had creative mode. |

I think this is bullshit.We are treated like garbage at the Build Team. People think we are only here to build for people, WE ARE NOT. I have no idea where everyone gets that idea from. Sure, we have inactive members but instead of complaining you too should be making proceeds to re-form it. 'b-b-b- but digs i cant build for shit' I don't care! If you want a build team then you should SAY that you want it back! I remember when the Build team was what everyone wanted, what happened? Sure Luigi isn't giving us creative, that's HIS fault not ours don't blame us for his actions. AstroDogs' post makes me sick. First off, the spawn project is in the old world. We cannot access the old world so what is your point, mate? We do have a reason to exist. We build for the server. We DID hire the good builders at the time, Me, Anj_ Proatus, Lifoo, Smurf and everyone else so what? You want Grian or Hypixel in this? Again, you are blaming US for Luigi's actions, It's not our fault. We all quit because the entire thing took hours to make, you're not taking in the consideration of how long that spawn took. And...
