I've been on this server for a rough 3 months, but I'm fairly new to the forums. What is a "bump"?

lol, ive seen that happen with comments, but not topics.

a bump is saying something, often bump, to revive an old, dead thread. it brings it to the top so people see it again.

Basically what bo said-but to add more details;
For example a mod application is at the second page of the section,and the applier wants the thread to be at the first page(hence more people will view the thread.People dont usually go to the second page),so he posts a comment on the thread,which will push the thread to the first and top place of the section.

Side-note,the "bump"thing isnt just a webbcraft forum thing,its all over the internent.Most if not all forums has players bumping threads,and it doesnt break any rules unless you bump uneccasarily.

Oh, I never seen this kind of thing before. I don't know how much subreddit count as forums, but the only forum like thing I've ever really used was an old closed minecraft server.

Subreddit is also like a forum,but bumping wont work.The thread will only go up if its a.gilded b.has alot of points.(More points=higher position for a certain amount of time).
