Why you were banned: X-Ray?

When you were banned: 7/3/16

Penq banned me for x-ray even though I dont? I guess because I was mining a ton underground and just so happened to find a few diamonds here and there, they thought I was hacking? Trust me- I'm not. If I was I would probably be in a full set of diamond armor and stuff. I don't hack. It takes part of the game away from me honestly. I've been temp banned and there isnt even any proof from what I see.

I mean, I'm sorry that you think I use x-ray? But I have never and will never use it, so I don't understand the "past and present", because again, I have not ever used X-ray.

Suspicion "Reason" : Okay so according to a few trusted people, I was banned because I "mine in a weird way", let me explain this. I mine down to about diamond level, where usually there are more ores, I begin to mine straight, and if I find an ore of value, I.E iron or diamond, I begin mining a tunnel in the direction of where it appeared. Rinse and repeat. This might look odd but for me its just efficient.

You admitted to hacking before the reset without punishment. That on its own is enough to possibly get you banned. You found 4 veins of diamond ore within 10 minutes, this was enough to get my suspicions up. I /tpo'd to your mine and checked it out. If what you said was true then sure thing - I wouldn't have banned you - However, your mining pattern was enough in my mind to say you were using an x-ray client.

Your mining pattern was something like this: Forward, up, left, forward diamonds. Down,right,forward,straight up 2 blocks, diamonds. ( Hard to explain, but if you see it you'll understand what I mean. )

Penq I admitted that as a joke to Lifoo who has recently been accused of hacking with x-ray.

Also, like I said, if I find ore i mine in its direction, that pretty easily explains that pattern, especially near bedrock where ores like redstone, iron, coal and diamond is pretty common.

Astro, one of the key mistakes of using X-ray is by mining un-logically, I saw countless mistakes. For example, you mined down 2 blocks out of no were and woopdy doo, diamonds.

Also, claiming X-ray as a joke now is a bit late and to be honest I don't believe you at all. You've said on multiple occasions that you've hacked/exploited on the server in the past.

I don't use X-ray Penq, hence why I do mine to your stupid "perfect X-ray" directions, I don't use x-ray, and also Can I get some screenshots of these other admissions of hacking, because I remember the joke one which was directed at Lifoo, but I don't remember any other instance of this.

To prove I didn't have xray to the staff I sent them a video of me finding 3 diamond veins in 6 minutes. I recorded the whole thing and didn't use hax during it. I have a mining strategy chip thought was suspicious but it's very logical and it at least has a pattern.

Even though it is a ban it IS a tempban...
So just wait it out and if you did hack you should turn them off. And if you didn't hack, just don't look suspicious.

+1 You have no proof that Astro hacks all you are saying is that you saw him mining, people can say they saw anything. You have no proof that Astro is hacking and just saying he mines weird is not enough proof I would have understood if it was for a day but 3 days is too much. And maybe he just got lucky when he was mining it happens to everyone. And the way he mines is he mines out ore vains and just follows from there and mines till he finds ore, sometimes he changes the direction but saying he hacks because of that is not right. How would you like it if you were mining then someone said to you that you mined weird and said you use X-Ray ?

+1 I agree with Ellie. Saying that someone mines in a weird way is not a reason to temp-ban them. And for 3 days! That is way too long. I trust Astro and I know he wouldn't hack. Penq you said he admitted to hacking, but do you have screenshots? If you do please post them here, or that can't be used as evidence against Astro.

Astro asked a few other players if it was okay to use xray and he discussed using the advantages of the hack with other players.

And just because he asked some players about xray doesn't mean that he was going to us it. And telling the advantages does sound dodgy but still, he could have been spewing shit so it doesn't really matter since he did not do anything since you have NO proof. Saying that he was mining is not proof. It is a statement.

To clear things up : I knowingly have brought up to pros & cons of using x-ray, as me and a (trainquil_arts on Webbcraft) were going to do a no cheats playthrough of mc, all the way up to getting to the ender dragon. Now, one of the cheats we were trying to decide whether or not to add, was x-ray. I went onto webbcraft and asked the opinions of all players online. I remember mentioning this entire thing, about how it was going to be on a survival play through and stuff, and then everyone casted their votes. We ended up not using x-ray as neither of us wanted to use it in the end. This has nothing to do with me approving of it. I was asking the server (and players on it) a question.
