So... after discovering I took some necessary turns.. I was awarded with a virus.. so I restarted my laptop and saved all the files, deleting all the apps that didn't come with the laptop. After re-downloading minecraft, I realised I needed optifine.. so I attempted to install it and it came up with 'Open, Save, or Save as'. As this was not the first time I'd installed optifine, I knew this wasn't right. But I went with it, and selected 'Open'. It then came up with 'view downloads- internet explorer'. So optifine didn't work.. I thought I could deal with it later, but as for now I'd go and play on webbcraft. After opening minecraft onto the servers page, I attempted to log in to the server, and as soon as I lgged in, I crashed. It came up with the minecraft launcher and it says it failed to write a core dump. This happened multiple times until I decided to give in. I am now stuck without minecraft, (yes, the crash thing happened with all versions) and also without optifine. Helppp PLSSS |

Get microsoft security esssentials, run a full scan ( may take a whole day ) and look at the virus type you have. You probably have one. |

Microsoft security essentials? You might be the dumbest person in the world.ESET or Kaspersky. Either one of the two work pefectly. |

MSE has worked perfectly for me over the time, it's free and reliable, really saved me from alot of bad shit getting on my PC. It's good if you want something simple and easy to use, it's all I've ever used. Now back onto the virus, is there and error code on the client? If there is send it to me please. |
