Hello, okay so my laptop is over heating really quickly. I will have 200+ FPS but after 5 minutes it can drop as low as 6 or 5 fps. Is there an alternative way to try and prevent this before it causes more damage? |

Try setting the frame rate limit to 30. |

OR You could buy one of those external fans. (Yknow...The ones you place your laptop on and just plug in.) I don't think that setting the frame limit to 30 will do anything to prevent over heating. Oh and>2016 >laptop gaming GG |

Luigi and Tyler are both correct.. Also keep the laptop off soft surfaces as this can block air flow that would normally cool the laptop. Keep it on hard surfaces for maximum air flow. Also try to keep your settings to a minimum so you wont force the system to work harder then it needs to. This in turn will create less heat then if you would have initially if the settings were higher. Lower settings and less programs running equal less heat. (Also you may require some cleaning of the system... have the laptop cleaned by someone who knows what they are doing.) |
