No... My reasons I disagree with such a thing is its an alienating event. Sure in the real world homophobia is an issue, but the internets allow people to be themselves. We don't need anyone, form and group of people, saying "Hey, look at us, Notice us! See us? We are so proud of ourselves!" The reason no one said no is because they don't want to feel as if they're coming off homophobic.There is no reason to isolate any one group of people. So yes. Go Gays, but more importantly...
Go humans, and may we forever succeed in our endeavor to seek more knowledge about who we are and where we came from.

I disagree. In the real world, gay pride is a thing that homophobics do not attend. In this game, however, there are always homophobics, and you cant stop them from being online, and you will only hurt yourself.

I have nothing against the lgbt+ community, I'm apart of it but I don't think this is a good idea.

Young children play on this server, they come here to have fun, not deal with issues of sexuality. Many are too young to even known what their sexuality is, so you shouldn't force your views upon them.

Then there's the fact you will have to understand not everyone will agree with your views. I agree with penquinator, people have a right to express their opinions if they are not offensive. If people feel that such a demonstration is encroaching upon their pleasant time on the server, they can say so.

Wowman, what I think luigi means is that people come on the server to have fun,
rather than to learn about sexualities, I agree the subject is important but the server isn't a school, just a place to have fun.

On a side note, for an open discussion since that's what forums are for, what if we made a double standard of DC's above statement, which would read "anyone being gay when it isn't needed will have a special talk with me"? Who said I will be teaching kids about their sexuality or telling them what their sexuality is?

All the attractions will divided into an age group and people under that age group, (with the exception of myself), would be granted access, for the younger kids there is a theme park and many games.

There will be a label room teaching all ages all the different types of sexuality with the off-chance that someone is struggling with their sexuality and need a label, in this room it'll explain that there is no need to rush into such a thing, take time & that you have to understand that it's not a decision, giving friendly and helpful advice.

I am going ahead with this event because the majority want it, I want it & it's going to be super-gay and suuuuper-fabulous,

Also, I misworded myself, I just messaged Luigi explaining, the label room will be for people of an appropriate maturity level.


This will be going ahead, the younger players will have access to attractions+minigames and not much else. Anything inappropriate they wont have access to, I assure you. Anything else like games, competitions, attractions, gay parade is perfectly fine for them.

The gay bars aren't inappropraite so they'll also be allowed in. The children aren't "put at risk" by going here, nor will they see anything rude/inappropriate, it's a fucking fair with games and attractions and they wont see anything rude as it'll be hidden and for the adults.

Wowman, not everyone wants to be apart of this and you doing it on our server without everyone's consent would be forcing it upon them.

You're basically forcing what you believe on to people, hypocritically if someone who didn't like the lgbt+ community did the same, you would go on a rampage.

Please think again, not everyone wants to see this on the server, they have a right to play on the server when ever they want without seeing things which may upset them. YOU don't have a right to have this event on the server when people have asked you not to.

Would this be fair if I made an event NOT supporting gay pride? Indeed not, so please don't have this event on OUR server.

It wouldn't be fair if you made an event not supporting gay pride, that'd be discrimination, what we're doing isn't discrimination, there is nothing wrong with it and it will go ahead.

In civil disobedience to wowman, I was wondering if I can hold a fair called "20:13" as in Leviticus 20:13. I personally don't believe in the bible bullshit, but if wowman gets to spread non-family friendly ideas on the forums I want to too. Not all parents want or support gay pride or marriage. Neither do they want some 14 yr old KID spamming the forum with it. So inturn I'm creating an alternative "PEACEFUL" event as well. I won't teach them about sexuality, butt will have a label room for those I deem mature which will teach them the different sexualities.. I will not use a universal censorship rating nor will I include my self. I will ask for a vote, butt will go through with it no matter the results. I will not ask for consent of the parents of any minor.
Some of the events include.
Roller coaster-Will be in a straight line, like it should be.
Tunnel of love-married couples only.
The mascot is Anti-Wank Hank.

Go ahead, nobody is stopping you, it is good showing you're proud of something. Hello Penquinator & everyone the hell else.


I did ask everyone yes, and I'll be sincere in saying I wasn't expecting this reply. I hope your aware that Gay Pride events take place all year round in different places of the world, there is no need to wait until september to do the main one. I'm not getting "pissed" over the fact that it's getting a negative response, (as well as positive may I add), it's the fact that people's reasoning is stupid, for example "AssassinCat's" reason is: "The word gay doesn't need to be known". How ridiculous is that?

Uiouio's reasoning: 1. In case of homophobe attacks, 2. In case parents are against same-sex marriage and/or the children/people might get offended.

My point here: This is a family-friendly server, which also implies it's LGBT friendly. If one got offended by same-sex marriage, why would one do /warp GayPride? It's ridiculous.


Alyse's answer I can accept, for example, it's that we shouldn't have such a serious topic on a MineCraft server, that's a good point, fair enough and I can accept that, as it's not utterly ridiculous, but this is something I really really want to do and want everyone's support, (minus homophobes).


Penquinator your reason is simply on the fact that some people don't want it, but MOST do, all the people I have asked, (and before anyone starts I did say I don't mind what the vote is), the MAJORITY haven't said yes, the MAJORITY haven't said no, the MAJORITY have said they do not mind, which is one of the reasons the event is going ahead, second after that, now including forum votes, the majority have said Yes. 5 People have said no, (Uiouio111, Dan, Penquinator, CaptainSpaceSheep & HeyHolly), and I think I missed someone out.

8 people on the forums alone have said yes, 3 people in game.Forumwise it's 8v4 or 11v6 in-game. There is going to be a gay pride simply on this, (including Chip's vote).

Who voted "Yes"?

Okay, well I'll accept that this is going ahead for now, but I won't be taking part in dealing with any stupid issues that you may come across. While this event is going on I'll probably be afk. This doesn't mean I won't mute people being offensive but it does mean I won't help with stuff like builds broadcasts ect, ect.
Also, if you're going to spam the warp like every minute I will warn you to stop. Doing it every 5 minutes is fine but as some people don't want this event every minute can really piss them off, I hope you understand :)

For the record books, I never said a possible attacks would be a reason to halt this event. I said the word attack was to strong considering this is a virtual world.
