It was hard to follow things, but I do hope a logfile was kept of comments to clarify what people were saying. Hopefully "hard feelings" can be avoided.It started with a mistake, one unintended. Stuff happens, we fix it as best we can. My hope is that the people on this server are mature enough to behave responsibly and NOTIFY WolfWind leadership so they can reclaim land before it is griefed. It appears there was a kerfluffle between the WolfWind faction leader and a member of staff. The chat was scrolling WAY the hell too fast for me to be sure what I saw. Again... there is a log, or if there isn't, there damn well *OUGHT* to be one. It is my sincere hope the staff person was acting in the best interests of the server and being proactive and helpful towards WolfWind's members and the faction's leadership towards resolving the situation. I also hope said staff person was understanding of the stress and attempting to be kind and supportive in the situation. I can't be quite sure of what I saw. When a faction is vulnerable, that is a wonderful opportunity to be mature and let your best shine through, even if the person attempting to recover from the disaster is "less than kind", clearly (and understandably) upset for the situation. For JamesSkullBlood and Loki, just a note... I was given /claim power so I could reclaim the area around The Machine. What I did was claim more of a "box" shape, and then I claimed the spawners I pointed out earlier as well as land that links back to the main area. This way we can have the spawners feeding into The Machine. Overall, I have claimed a few more chunks than I *had*, but I did it in a way I thought made sense at the time. I also claimed one chunk in The Nether for a gate between there and The Machine, that way it is secure on both sides. If that wasn't appropriate, let me know and we'll work something out. Now, on "the accident", it appears WAY too easy for mistakes to happen. I have heard of an earlier mistake where everyone was booted from WolfWind, so they had to start over from the beginning. In this incident, it would be useful to know how it can be avoided in the future. Now I have /f unclaim. I'm very nervous about that, and I'm not sure I want the power now that things are recovered. Is there some sort of "safety lock" for that thing? Some way to make the command more difficult to "unclaim God and everything" without being very deliberate about it? Mistakes do happen. How do we avoid this mistake from happening again? And, yeah... by the way, I do have the /f claim power, and I am fine if that needs to be revoked. Something that powerfully really should be in the hands of a few to avoid disasters and "rage quitting" type griefing. If I don't have the power, I can't make that particular mistake. ;-) |

I think only the owner of a faction has permission to do /f unclaimall, but I might be wrong. |

This has happened to me too, funny how it happens when Lerz is in my faction & he leaves & joins yours and this happens..Loominarty confirmed. |

Lerz was not present when it happened wowman... I might have been one that was highly upset as a large clan we are far spread across the map old and new... This mistake leaves far to many players vulnerable to grief on a huge scale. W e got most of it re claimed i think and hope we did anyways..but the fact remains this is something that should not happen ever...Luig is there a way to only allow the top three or four people in a clan to unclaim all? that should minimize if not eliminate this problem. |

@Luigi , no all f mods have it for some reason , most of them use this as a troll , I think you should change this so only the leader can do this |

Yeah, so only the leader of the faction (Co-leader MAYBE?) gets to boot themselves in the head for it. ;-) It has me feeling ill thinking I might accidentally do this. I don't know if I can, I'm not willing to try. I'd feel a whole crap-ton better if I were sure I can *NOT* accidentally do it. |

Oh, I think this also shows the point, "When *I* call you an @#$^&*(, I'm just being playful and just joking. Why do you have to take it personally and be so upset? But when *YOU* call me an @#$^&*(, that's WRONG-BAD, and when I find you, I'm going to rip your head off and crap down your neck and report you and get you banned forever!"Yeah, I think there was some of that going on last night. If you are a staff person, for god's sake don't screw with people even if you think the situation is funny and you are only kidding. It's hard, I know, but can the jokes and save 'em for when we are not running around screaming in terror while our faction land is exposed. Try to take a little, "If this had happened in MY faction, how would I want the staff person to behave and assist until the disaster was over?" Don't be a wanker. It sure looked like some "wanker" was going on last night, but I hope I am wrong about that. |

No, I saw you upset (and understandably so) MP, but I didn't see what looked like a "hostage" situation, or threats of "hostage taking", or other screwball stuff from you. I'm not sure what I saw. I just hope it got cleared up. |
