/buy is a command that shows you the price, coordinaes, and warp (optional) of the cheapest of whatever you seek. Before /buy, shops needed to be well-known, have a good reputation, and advertize a plenty (which kept chat a bit busier). Now if I want a diamond, rather than going to popshop, beltopia, etc., I can just do /buy diamond and it'll show me a list of shops with the very cheapest diamonds. Since /buy was added, shop owners have used it to undercut the opposition. Undercutting is exactly why the prices deflated and Louie G added sales tax in a catastrophic failure of an attempt to reduce deflation rate. |

We used to have /warp Shop where you could sell and buy just about anything that anyone would need. I agree, get rid of /buy, get rid of the taxes. +1 |

The command is still a good quality of life thing to have.Imo, the best solution would be to have a floor price for some specific items. Sadly, the opinion of 99% of the population doesn't matter since the current head-admin has a veto on everything. |

+1 all buy does is drop prices to the point it closes shops and all the sales tax does is piss people off and encourage more people to trade rather then buy to avoid the sales tax. |

+1 I agree, as I created my shop I noticed that I had to bring my prices lower than the insanely low prices to bring people. |

+1Like you said, previously shops had to earn their way to be one of the big ones, and get all the customers. Now, whoever can undercut the other the fastest is the one who makes the sale. Although cheap shops will always exist, and always have a demand, /buy makes that cheap shop niche the only way of owning a shop. |
