Hello! This is my application. If you are active on the forums you would know that I posted a topic about me applying soon and that day is here! I know that so many people have applied recently like Tam (for admin) and Mia (congratulations BTW) so my chances are very low, but then again it never hurts to try. Sorry if it gets long, if you read the whole thing thank you. Although since I'm only 13 I can be annoying or silly at times, I can assure you I am mature when needed. Your gender: Male Have you been banned on any other servers? I have never been banned except when Ellie banned me as a mistake. (Or so she says) Why do you think you should be a moderator? I think I should be a moderator because I really love helping people and especially in this community. Mushroom Co is an amazing server and with the help of the staff team, it's becoming a grief free, incredible server. Although this is repeated constantly on applications, I really do mean it. Sometimes it like the feeling of helping someone out so much that I help them before thinking about something I need help with. Like at school, if someone is having troubles with something I often go over and help them understand the subject before me even finishing my own work. If you see me on a lot, you can tell that even though I don't have the title of a moderator, I ask around to everyone if they need any help. Even just recently I helped out someone I didn't know before 2 days ago, and helped them design and create their house and start a sugar cane farm. I spent a few hours with them then went on to help more people who had just joined. Not only does helping people give you a great feeling, but it helps me to get to know more people on the server. You might be thinking, if you are already helping people, why do you need moderator? and it's a good question. One main reason I think it would help for me to have the title as a moderator is for new people on the server. Picture you were a person who had just joined the server and someone asked you if you needed help, you would probably be questioning it right? Because I am not seen as a staff member, I find people are anxious to take help from me because they don't know if I'm there to grief or do something bad to them. Of course that alone is not a valid reason though. Again, I'm trying not to mention things that are said repeatedly, of course commands would help you help other people but that is said in every application, so here's another reason. I have other experience with staff. Not only have a created a server which did absolutely horribly, but I've also been a staff member on my brother's server which was significantly more successful. Although some will say it doesn't count because I didn't earn the staff position per say, I still believe it did. Although I could have easily fooled around and messed with the entire server, I took the opportunity seriously and quite frankly learned a lot. I've been constantly made fun of for my age and get called a squeaker on the daily, but it doesn't bother me. I don't rage, I don't get angry. I am very patient and as proof of this I can be seen on the server for hours at times waiting until someone says they need help. I've learned responsibility at a young age (because due to the Montreal system I am now in high school at 13) and I think I'm prepared to become a staff member. I can only hope that I some what convinced some of you to see me as a helper and know that even if I don't become a moderator, you can always reach out to me if you see me on and you need help. How long can you be active on the server every day? A lot! I get out of school at 3:00 (Montreal Time) and with the exception of a extra curricular on Fridays going till 6:30, I can be on each week day from 3:00 till around 7:00 to eat, then back on if other staff are not on and they need one. So on weekdays around 4-7 hours and on weekends with the exception of sometimes going skiing, I can be on quite literally all day as early as needed and as late as around 2:00 am What country do you live in? Canada How long have you been on the server? I first joined 2016-03-02 according to the Mushroom Co Player Join Date. so around three years. Omg we are the same age ayeeee...but im going to have to -1 this atm.. You are very friendly and helpful to everyone but your activity can be on and off which may impact your staffing abilities. You also only recently rejoined the server near the end of last year. maybe applying a little further into the year and i will definanlty change my vote to +1 |

-11. Work on your activity 2. People who are insecure about their age tend to falsely accuse others of age-based discrimination when it is often not relevant. 3. Staff have less time to help with things like house building and sugar farm designing, so how helpful you may be now isn't so relevant. |

Also Presinus, I do know that helping building things and stuff like that is not very relevant to what a staff member does, I said it more to show that I do enjoy helping people. |

-1No doubt you are very helpful and fairly active. I still think you are at this point in time too young for the moderator position. You tend to show maturity but this changes very quickly once you become mod because then you don't really need to show anything to the server when you already have the position. People applying for mod tend to change their behaviour to seem like the most helpful almost robot-like person. I like to call this the "post-moderator syndrome" :P Now remember I am not bashing your ability to help others and I don't doubt for a second that you like helping people, I just don't think any person could keep up this kind helpfulness once they become mod I will explain why. I've seen dozens of people get promoted to Mod and then change drastically after they become one. A person applying for a mod and a person who is mod are two very different types of people. Those applying for mod tend to show a high level of eagerness. From what I've seen so far you seem very eager to get the position I remember you writing in-game chat quote "I would kill to be a mod" or something along those lines. I obviously see that you don't mean this literally but I think too much enthusiasm can burn you out once you become a staff member. Then your activity will diminish and your interest in the server will go away. So my advice to you is: (1) Prove to us that your activity will continue for the foreseeable future (2) Apply again in maybe a years time to show that you truly want the position (3) Don't burn yourself out by helping too much (I know this sounds silly). Other than that you seem like a great guy that could definitely one day become a staff member on the server. |

Thanks so much for the feedback Larus, I have also seen "post-moderator syndrome" but I would like to make sure you know that's not what I was trying to do. I play and try to help the server because I just like doing it. I love the community and I'm not trying to put up a act to make people see me as an amazing person. Judging by how this application is doing, I will probably apply in a year either way because people don't seem to like my app right now. Again, thanks for the reply and ill see you on the server. |

+1, you're pretty active and friendly on the server, the only complaint I have is that you've only been back for 1 - 2 months, so I'm still not confident you'll stay active long enough to be staff. |
