After various nagging and frustration with situations (what an awful way to begin this) I guess I might as well do this again, but it's mostly because of the various requests from the people I care about. (JesseShee, Clockpiece, Shadow_beast7, Tones, Hazza.... and more) encouraging me to try again. I'd like to formally apologize to everyone on the server, I become an entirely new type of person when passionate about an issue that is not resolved. Things have changed now, and it's an entirely new ball game out there. We seem to have an overwhelming number of mods now, and only a handful of admins which is the way it should be, and Luigi, I commend you for that. I'm very glad you have made so many trial mods and have the selection of mods we do now. I'm missing the point here now though, I need to actually get there. When I joined this server, I'll be honest, I had never been staff anywhere else before. But what enticed me to go for that role is because I take great happiness by building a positive reputation for myself, and helping people out. To create that reputation, I'd respond to almost every player, even if their request was completely unnecessary or ridiculous. That's how all staff, in my eyes, should hold themselves, as helpers, not enforcers- although it is important for them to be doing that too. The staff are in place to help and protect the players of the server from hacking and harassment, and help them if they have a problem with those things. Not to beat down the hammer every time someone (even respected players) have stepped over the line. Take for example the staff, anyway. I'm sure we all have broken a rule once or twice (we may not see it that way) and gotten away with it because it wasn't anything major like hacking or ruining someone else's structure. And I realize that I used to be that staff, the one who would go off at every tiny rule broken, whatever it entails (except cursing, I am exposed to it constantly, and so I do it constantly, as long as people don't direct it in a hurtful way towards others.) And so, with that being said, I believe all staff and players should be treated equally, so if one staff member is harassing another, they should be punished like any other player, or if one staff member is harassing a citizen, citizen on citizen, the list goes on (sorry for poor wording.) If you've gotten this far I really respect you. This brings me to what I was meaning to do. When I first started off on here, I always had the best intentions. This seems hopeless to me because I've already damaged my reputation with a lot of people but I want to turn things around, and do things in a manner that I used to, when almost everyone supported me and respected me. I want to be able to prove to everyone I was good once, that I am truly qualified to make this server healthy and drama free like it needs to be, and not start any like I did. I am so, so sorry to everyone. These are my true colors. This is what I aim to do, to help, to prevent fights from even happening, to make all of the staff and the server itself look well. I'm not looking to replace anyone. I'm not looking to have anyone demoted. And to be honest; Head Mod is still empty. Tones was never promoted like she should've been. But I am willing to do whatever I can to help. I just want things to be in order again, too much drama between players and current staff. (And staff against other staff.) |
