Your in-game name: dan9099. My nickname in game was L3genD until recently, so some of you may know me as that or Legend. How old you are: 16. Back when I first played the server, I was around 11. I was immature and could not take criticism. Thankfully I have matured a lot as I've aged. (I can also take criticism now as well lol.) Your gender: Male. Have you been banned on any other servers? Yes, I was banned on a server in 2012 for griefing. I was very young back then and I didn't understand griefing was bad at the time. I have learnt from this mistake and I understand the rules about griefing and how wrong it is. Why do you think you should be a moderator? I honestly like to help people a lot, whether that be through building, commands, or even just through simple questions. I care about this server a lot as it was and still is such a welcoming community. I have a lot of respect for some of the staff members on the current team and I would feel honoured to be a part of that team and help players the same way I've been helped since 2015. Currently, there are only 2 moderators and one going through the trial process. I rarely see these mods log on for long periods of time and I believe that I would be a good addition to the staff team for the hours I can cover, my availability, and my willingness to help. In my timezone, there are multiple unstaffed hours everyday. I would like to be able to help out with problems that staff can cover. I do have experience doing some activities that would be expected upon staff such as finding X-Rayers and trying to clean up the chat for the younger players. Now I will admit I am not too familiar with the staff commands, but I am a fast learner and I would catch on to them quickly. Also, as a moderator I would like to be able to help bring our server together through community events such as olympics, tournaments, races, etc. I believe that these would be beneficial to the server as it would not only be fun for the player base, it would increase player activity as they would log on and have something fun and rewarding to do. Now, this stuff can be organized by your regular citizen, but it'd really be so much better if the staff team were onto it, as it'd be official and likely more engaging. How long can you be active on the server every day? As of the 3rd of February 2021, I'm back to school and can be on for around 4-5 hours after school. On the weekends and holidays however, I'm available all day from around like 10 AM AEDT to 11 PM AEDT. I won't play that whole time, but I'll be available through discord the whole day and whenever I'm on the server. In January, I was the most active player with 300+ hours. I'm assuming quite a bit was AFK time, but I was always available through discord and was usually just playing guitar or reading forums or something, but constantly checking chat. I'm going to cut down on this AFK time a lot and still be a bit active. What country do you live in? Australia. Now I know there is another Australian staff member (other than Luigi of course), but I don't really see him on, and I think that having another Australian staff member that also covers U.S. nighttime and U.K. morning could only bring good anyways. I see people join the server everyday and often there isn't a moderator or admin on in my timezone to help them out. How long have you been on the server? Just about 6 years as of February 2021. I have been back and active for around 2 months now. Also, I am very sorry for making a new app, but I really did not want to go over a mod app I made when I was 11 and immature. I realise that it is annoying to have had multiple apps, but I hope you respect my decision for making a new one and understand it. +1As far as I have seen, Dan is one of the friendliest and most respectful players on the entire server. He made the point that he can cover a lot of currently unstaffed time, and I agree 100%. In my morning (dan's evening) we 2 of only 4 people online most of the time. If would be great to have a staff member on in this time. I think from around 3-4 am GMT there are probably no staff on due to timezones which makes Dan a great choice. I didn't know Dan back in 2012 but looking at his old application it's clear to see how much he has matured. This display of growth as well as his friendliness and demeanour make me believe he would make an excellent mod, or another staff member at the very least/ Legend would be an excellent addition to your team. :D With regards to new games and events he wants to run, it's always a fantastic idea to have more staff running and invested in these. |

I can't believe you wrote so much!@MRQUESTION The intent of inserting my old application in there was to provide reference as to why I made a new application rather than editing my old one. It also ended up being a good reference to show how much I've matured since I last applied for the position, according to Marsh at least. But yes, maturity is how you act, not only in front of others, but all the time. I can understand why you don't know what to think based off of my past application, but I hope that we get to talk in-game so that you can see how I am now, as I believe I've only seen you on around 2 or 3 times within the past month. But thank you for bringing that up though. |
