Not to sound like a boomer but back in my day, back when we had a decent staff and an actually sustainable player base (40+ instead of 8 daily) there was staff that actually helped people instead of just punished, but now you see alot less of that, especially with the topic of today's post, tamnica. To be crude hes just a cunt, but more specifically he doesn't deserve the role he's been given. Admin's are not there just to enforce the rules, they are there to assist and help players expand and have in the server. Most of the staff try their best to do that, like suko and ninja and almost all of the helpers especially Gilgamesh(even though i do have a bit of a bias for him due to us joining around the same time, we share the same view of the server due to being around for the same time), but even though theyve been doing a great job doesnt excuse tam's attitude towards the job. he does not help he only enforces. For example- today i was building an enchanting table which i was going to create /Warp enchantingtable fro the server to use, i was using bedrock to box it in due to it being near my base i didnt want somebody killing my animals, and i accidentally misplaced a piece, i then asked tam to break it so i could continue building, but then tam said that would be abuse because i dont have creative and if he did something that could only be done in creative then it would be abuse, and then me- being the sly trickster i am- said i accidentally griefed and wanted it rolled back, he then said if he did that he would ban me for griefing my own structure. Im not saying that every staff should jump at the opportunity to help players because that isnt their entire job, it should be a small but constant part. To help/protect players and make their experience safe and enjoyable should be a major part of the job though and i believe that is lacking in the server now due to "management changes" and staff changes but overall tam has been one of the biggest offenders, i believe to make the server enjoyable again and get a steady player base he should be one of the first things to change. |

He's done things like /warp gallery and a series of map art contests, which are nice to have, but his attitude toward staffing has always made me uncomfortable with the server. I don't believe he'd respect anyone's privacy if he had /gmsp, /v, socialspy, commandspy, the ability to warp to players' homes, etc., and he already has some of those permissions. He's also proven himself to be eager to dish out punishments, and eager to snitch at any chance. Of the entire staff team, he's the only one who's had my complete distrust (above others) for so long. Aside from untrustworthyness and traitorousness he's a pretty cool dude tho |

@lanadanWhile you are correct with Orient and Seiko being linked together, think of Orient as the more budget friendly Seiko. While of course you can find cheap and stylish Seikos at a great price point, nothing compares to the tried tested and true quality and craftsman ship of a great timepiece such as the automatic movement SKX007/009, or possibly even a quartz movement (which Seiko is the inventor of) like the SNA411 which are used by professional divers and pilots today due to their effectiveness in the field, and ability to keep time. An Orient timepiece could never hold up to the same quality as a great Seiko. Have a little more money to splurge? Take a look at a Grand Seiko! Grand Seiko's are an engineering masterpiece, handbuilt to perfection even under the microscopic. While a quartz movement is far more accurate than any automatic movement out there, Grand Seiko's keep time almost as well as a quartz movement and is a far more stunning machine than any quartz watch. Take a look at Grand Seiko's spring drive movement in particular is scarily accurate and pretty. Spring Drive movements only lose about a second a day, compared to the 5 seconds a day a normal movement loses, and the second hand is a completely smooth, while a quartz is only 1 tick per second and a normal automatic is about 8 ticks per second. This is why I believe the Seiko to be the overall superior product compared to an Orient, or any other watch manufacturer out there. |
