Username: dublindevilReason for ban: Dupe of >1,000,000 items, constant rule breaking, 0 ticks and overall attitude of not following rules When you were banned: 13/10/2019 ~10PM UTC +03:00 Appeal: My name is dublindevil and I was banned a good 3/4 months ago. Initially it was a 7 day temp ban for (and I quote) “constant rule breaking, 0 ticks and overall attitude of not following rules”. I am not disputing that, as I was acting somewhat of an ass. It was later upgraded to a perm ban by tam after he discovered my “dubbing stash” (nice one Lero). To start with the more minor stuff, I would say this all started back with the production and subsequent removal of several “edgy” map arts I had displayed in my shop. They were removed with the reason being cited as “they are offensive”. This riled me, and I retaliated in a childish manner. A communist flag was also removed a few days prior to my ban. In my opinion, the straw that really broke the camel’s with the staff was the discovery of one of my zero tick farms, with the first one being at the world border around a week before the ban and the second one being around 3000 blocks from the border. It would be foolish to deny the first one, as I was in the wrong and punished accordingly, but for the second more recent tick farm I believe I was fully in the right. My reason being that I was given special permission from loki and luigi to operate it, under the condition that it was only during zero traffic server hours, of which, I am active in sometimes. I do not know 100% how the second tick farm was discovered, but I think it was discovered by tam during his investigation for dupes. I have a strong inkling that shakes dropped the proverbial dime on me to tam, as she “”warned”” me. She has seen the farm as I accepted her TP request while I was building it. The main point of this is, these tick farms were not run out of malice, but out of a need for mass amounts of paper for rockets, books and maps. I apologize for the ones that were illegal. On to the main event, the >1,000,000 block duping. I will not deny it, I was duping items on the server prior to the ban and I apologize for it. It was useful and a whole lot easier than mining for resources etc. Hindsight 20/20, I do see how it could have disrupted the server economy, as some of the things I sold (such as logs/glowstone/redstone) were plentiful and undercut several other legitimate players. In my defense I will say that at no point did I blatantly try and disrupt the economy with exorbitantly cheap prices or attempt to give away absurd amounts of duped items. I just made a bit of money on the side and used a lot of items for personal projects such as one of my upcoming map arts and bases (these plans were cut short due to the ban, with the removed items in my main base being 100% legit and not duped). The main reason I would like to get unbanned is I have a history with the server, I have a rank (veteran, joined in 2015) and several friends online that are unique to this server and I have not found similar ones anywhere else on MC. I also have a base I enjoy and the whole towny aspect really appeals to me. In the words of MaxBass: It's so disapointing to see an active member having such a negative effect on the server. In the case that I do get Unbanned, I have changed and I am not trying to “find a new way to annoy people every day” -max, 2019. I will admit that sometimes I do push it a bit, but overall, I love playing on the server, and the time of by ban, I had the most votes cast for the server in October. -Dubz

I'm cited twice in a ban appeal !!!On a serious note, I hope that you realize how promoting a Swastika and the Hammer and sickle is just something offensive, it is literally promoting hate and 2 of the worst movements in the history of humanity. We'll discuss it in the next few days. If you do get unbanned, let's hope that you are not another one of those who betrays our trust... Also, I think i'm the one who found the 2nd 0-tick farm and looked at it with Tam. I don't remember the details tbh, that was a while ago ... |
