Hello, I have been on this server for almost 6 years, was also staff for almost a year including me being an Admin, so I have extensive knowledge of the rules of this server. This includes the PVP rules. The situation I see Byn. Byn has PVP on and so I kill her. I did not bypass PVP and I didn't tp to Byn to kill her (as it is disabled right now). Unfortunately, Byn took an issue of being killed. That's when Byn and Tsar started telling me that I had to return the items that I took. I responded with 'No I won't I know the rules.' It ended up with me being temp - banned for 24 Hours. I would like to thank the other old-time players who came to my defense who defended me telling the staff that it's happened to them but nothing happened because it's not against the rules. The issue is that the staff just decided to make up a rule because it suits them. There is nowhere it is written down or implied that you have to return items. The PVP rules ... since the beginning of the server If you have PVP enabled you can be killed by someone else, and they don't have to give you your items back UNLESS it's agreed on before. You can not use /tp to teleport to a player and kill them as that's an abuse of /tp. If a player has /pvp disabled you are not allowed to bypass In conclusion At the end of the day, this server is still a faction server, even if it is friendly factions. Some of my fondest memories on this server are attacking people in the wilderness and looting their bodies. I was also attacked and my stuff taken and it sucked but it's part of the game and server. No-body complained because we had /pvp to disable it if you didn't want to be attacked. So Byn take this as a lesson to turn /pvp off and stop abusing your staff powers because something you didn't like happened. |

I am deeply annoyed I was muted due to this because I was backing Tom the whole time and I was muted due to it I would like to be unbanned for this as it was not spam and I was just trying to get him unbanned. +1 |

I do not support nor partake in stealing items when killing people, I just kill people as a show of power. However, in the past I have been killed both while afk and while active, had my items stolen, and staff do nothing about it. That was a long time ago, but it still happened nonetheless. We have /pvp for a reason, if you don't want to die, you keep that on. Of course, when it comes to me, you could die even with pvp on. This isn't a ban appeal or anything so I shouldn't +1 but I will anyway just cause. +1 |

For as long as I have played the rule has always been that if both people have pvp enabled it's fair game to keep the items. If there was pvp bypass then it's not but in Tom's case this wasn't what happened. Nothing in the rules states that you are not allowed to keep items either. +1 |

Regardless of whether she had PvP on or off, you cannot keep her items unless both of you agreed to allow it prior to PvP.Byn was only enforcing the rules as she was instructed to do so, and whether or not the rule is in the book is not her fault. |

Considering I have been Admin in the past and therefore I know the rules, and that I was unbanned by the owner, as I was wrongly banned. You're wrong. |

The rules were heavily reworked on rather recently, but anyways Tom is right. Don’t come on to a survival server with pvp turned on, and expect to not be killed once or twice. In the pvp rules you can keep items unless agreed upon before the encounter, not vice-versa. Tom shouldn’t have punished for participating in a key feature of both the server and Minecraft in general.+1 |

Every year I've been on the server (excluding 2020) there has been multiple instances of people losing items in PvP and staff getting it back for them, then explaining the rules as I stated above. I can recall a time a player asked me to test some weapon on them, so I did then handed it back. They then took off with an elytra and dove whilst shooting in attempt to kill me. Eventually their armour broke and they crashed. I whipped out my axe and chopped them down, took their items, and turned pvp off. Him and Pr1tce were bitching at me that I'm breaking the rules, they called a staff member in, staff member confirmed the story, and I threw the items into a minecart chest and said that I threw them at a cactus. I was informed it was a violation of the rules because they didn't agree beforehand, and they took it up the chain of command to confirm their statement. Unrelated, you said Tsar banned you but Byn abused her powers. Which powers did Byn abuse? |

It seems staff doesn't handle this issue consistently if that happened to you Pres |

Of course staff doesn't handle things consistently. All of them disagree with the rules to some extent and they're not exactly professional. (Which I like). |

No they can't be perfectly consistent indeed because everyone approaches things differently, but when they start contradicting each other it's not good. |

PvP rules are a bit different if its in an arena by the way |

Armz is correct, there are various PvP rules.Wilderness PvP: Two players, both with pvp enabled, encounter each other in a non-safezoned area, if one kills another, they can keep the items. Planned PvP: Players meet at a location, usually an arena, with intention to fight. By default, in this scenario, players HAVE to give items back, unless it's agreed upon by both players that the winner takes all. PvP bypass: A player kills a player with PvP disabled using a method of damage to bypass /pvp, such as lighting them on fire, or smiting them. This is never allowed and results in the return of items and punishment of the bypasser. |

Good to know, but mine was kinda complex in what went down and I was wondering,1. What if half the fight was within a warzone, and the other half (including the fatal blow) was in the surrounding wilderness? 2. What if they came back with more stuff, I cut their health low (in the wilderness), they crash into a pvp arena and die, and I run over and take the dropped items? and unrelated to the event I mentioned, but has happened in other events, 1. What if I die without influence of a player attacking? Can someone run over and yoink all my items? 2. If someone takes my items unjustly (like with PvP bypass), can I unjustly take them back? 3. If someone attacks me when my PvP is on in non-safezone using wolves, and I turn my PvP off but the wolves continue to attack, is it justified that I kill the wolves? Is it justified that the attacker takes my stuff after the wolves kill me? |

Thanks, CCShad.Pres it honestly sounds like the staff either didn't know the rules or they didn't want to listen to someone whine so they just told you to give the items back. Also yes Tsar might have been the person to type the command but Byn's name was on the ban reason and she was involved with banning me so she is equally to blame. That is why I said she abused her commands regarding my ban. |

Nobody likes having items stolen, and it's a dick thing to do. Which is why I have a solution: We're not gonna deal with it anymore. If someone steals items. EVERYONE GET TOGETHER AND MURDER THAT PERSON. IN ANY WAY |
