I thought we were sticking to the 5-chunk spawn claim limit, so I kept my plot 4 chunks, and planned to get another chunk someplace else for a different purpose later.Classified, with only 1 active member has claimed more chunks than I can fit on a map (/f map), and Recon (also only 1 active member) has about the same amount of land. A very short travel from spawn, a huuuuge field of claims all by 1 faction. I only saw the edge of it, but I looked to be enormous. I'd like to request the claims be cut down, and a clear limit be displayed, as it's clear some players can't control themselves when not given a limit |

If they're not using the land and it's connected to a pathway, or a pathway is near there or could feasibly be extended there, then ask a staff member to unclaim it if you intend on building there immediately. |

Text wall warning, I pretty much wrote a novelClassified members got a lot of hate for claim abuse, and nobody in the fac knew why. I myself couldnt find any claims aside from some random mountain and the area around Rida's base. I cut the claims by Rida's base and the mountain was completely cleared of claims. I figured the claim abuse was on Rida, but I kept seeing new random claims pop up (one of them was an entire frozen river in the middle of nowhere), so I cut as many unused claims down as I could find before leaving the faction. Some things that I unclaimed were reclaimed, and I did /seen each time I noticed new claims pop up. Eventually I came to the conclusion it was likely harvey making 70% of the claims that gave Classified its bad rep. New map came around and I set up in an undeveloped spot at spawn next to safezone, intending to lava cast a wall around my base. I was all set up when Harvey came along and claimed directly behind me (it was just 1 chunk, but odd that he claimed where there was no road access). I logged out and returned later to find the chunks in front of me were claimed by Harvey, and I was unable to build the path. Wondering if I can work around it, I did /f map. I found he claimed 2 chunks in front of me, and 8 behind. The 8 had no road access so I figured fine whatever, but the claims in front had to be cleared so I can build a road. The road made, I checked /f map to see if he reclaimed it, to which I saw he owned over 50 chunks of spawn, the claims scattered as if he was racing to claim them all before others could. When asked by staff what his plans were with those claims, he choked up for a bit, then started naming random purposes in a sort of improvisational manner. He was made to clean up his claims, which he did incredibly slowly, then said brb and didn't return until the next day, seemingly forgotten about cleaning up his claims. |
