Why you were banned: X-Ray
When you were banned: 23 Hours, 45 Minutes ago (I'm guessing)
I'm not sure how the server monitors this sort of thing; I'm guessing it just monitors how many diamonds a player has mined within a certain period of time.
If this is the case then what I did may have "fooled" this?
I went for a small mining session in some random caves/ mines nearby one of the places the wilderness teleporter by spawn can bring you (I think, it may have been somewhere else). I don't think I got too many resources for it to be anything suspicious; though admittedly I have a strange mining technique of being fairly close to bedrock and just mine in one direction for four to ten block then change direction if I don't find any ores - resulting in a very random and messy tunnel.
However, I think what I did next may have been what caused an issue. Since the majority of the mining I do is with a silk touch pick, I had a large quantity of ore blocks that I then decided to mine with my fortune pick. I'm not sure if this could've made the server think I've just found and mined loads of materials in a very short period of time.
I'm not sure though; this is just a possible reason that I can think of me being banned for x-ray.
I don't mind waiting it out though; it gives me a chance to focus on my studies a bit more. :'-) |

Can't tell you how many diamonds you mined in a given time, however I was the one to alert the staff to your mine. I stumbled across your mine while strip mining in my strip mine. Within seconds I made the decision to alert the staff to my location due to the fact that the mine had no torches, also the path was in no certain direction, and even came close to circling it self. I am guessing the staff then check out how many ores in the area you actually ended up mining. I would fess up to the X-raying, as it quite obvious that the mine was made with some visual assistance. The length of your mining path also is statistical inconsistent with the amount of ores you were able to get. Your path was at least 250 blocks long. A short, sporadic path might have yielded a high frequency of ores if you just so happened to mine in the right spot, but not a mining path that long, or that wide of an area. |

When I went back to look at your tunnels to match with what you have said in this appeal it for the most part matched. Also when i went to look at the core protect data again and tp'd to where you had replaced the items it was in fact at your base and not in a tunnel so that made the dia count less than half of what was originally thought. +1 for unban |

Thank you.
I appreciate you for the time and effort you put into investigating this; I enjoy the environment of the server so I'm grateful that I could come back.
Though unfortunately I most likely won't be online as frequent as I'd like - I've just started a new job and am studying structural and civil engineering so this will most likely take up the majority of my time. However, I'll definitely pop on from time to time whenever I have a spare couple of hours.
Once again, thanks. |
