Username: LippoHippoWhen: My niece was banned on the afternoon of August 8th, 2017. Why: Tonight, we were having a Family Game night with my niece and her cousin, my daughter, who was interested in playing the game MineCraft so I signed up my daughter for the game and allowed my niece to occupy my nephew's account. I borrowed my son's account to save money and supervise their activity on the server so that they would not interact inappropriately with strangers online. After finding a server that seemed friendly so that their buildings would not get destroyed. Mind you, my daughter and niece are only around the ages of 10-12. As my niece (12) was building a house with her cousin, she was messaged rather abruptly by a "Mod" with the username ~CCShad saying that he had to ban her account due to "xraying". After approaching my younger nephew, whose account she was using, about the situation, he admitted to using this "xray" which he downloaded onto the computer. My niece attempted to gently and maturely explain the situation to this "Mod" who regardless proceeded with the process of banning her. This greatly upset her as a young child trying to have fun with her family. I then messaged him and he claimed to be enforcing the rules, despite the fact that the account was not used by her prior to her wanting to play with her cousin, but by my nephew instead. I hope you resolve this unfortunate situation, as my daughter and niece are now miserable due to their bonding time being ruined. As of now, we will settle for the classic board games, but their experiences are compromised due to the time they put into this server and being kicked out rudely. The friendly environment quickly turned hostile and I may have to remove the installation of MineCraft from the children's computers. Thank you for reading this message. |

Hi! I'm an admin on the server, after reading this, I consulted Shad about it. He explained the situation to me with what little he had. So, the ban is a temporary ban for a week, I feel this to be a bit unfair as she didn't seem to know what it did.However, while consulting him I said I'd give you one chance, but as you didn't say this ban was temporary, I shall not do that now. However if you hadn't lied about a couple of things, thanks to Shad ip checking, the ip is not from where I am, that and the kids would be in school or at home doing homework. The ip came from the east coast of the US which its about 11pm when said account got banned. Due to this fact, the kids would be asleep. I would like you to add a reply to this explaining everything, including why you have lied to get unbanned. If you give me a proper and actual reason, I will consider at least shortening to ban. I believe you when you say that your niece did nothing wrong, however the owner of the account (your nephew) used the account to use xray and cheat to find diamonds 4 hours prior to your niece using the account. That's why I had to ban the account. |

Also, we don't know who is really behind the computer. Do u know how many times someone has griefed or xrayed and then said, my sister or my brother jumped on my a/c, it wasn't me. We don't really know who it was so you sort of have to go by banning the a/c no matter how many people have used it. People using the excuse of someone else in the family doing it gets used often and becomes harder to believe. |

Good Morning. Tones, why would the IP Address be from the same location as you? The kids do not have any homework since it is Summer and school is not currently in session. Thus, 11 is not an unreasonable time for kids to be awake. Although the ban is temporary, it lasts approximately a week and my daughter and niece do not get to see eachother often, explaining their distraught nature. In the format given, the length of the ban was not information that was said to be specified, so I did not include it. I expect better treatment and I feel as I, as an adult, have been disrespected. I don't understand why a simple misunderstanding between children building their treehouse and the accused hacking has to escalate to this level. Beignbor, I am speaking as the uncle of LippoHippo, as she is not allowed to have an account on websites of this nature, due to internet safety reasons. My niece has just recently started playing Minecraft on a borrowed account and was not even aware of the concept of "xray" until it was brought up to her. I, and his father, have talked to my nephew about breaking rules and having the integrity to play games online fairly and he feels guilty. Again, I am sorry for the children's actions and hope this get resolved. Thank you. |

You may call me Susan if you wish, I don't mind and sorry, you claimed for it to be afternoon when she was banned correct? When I had replied, she was banned an hour and it had just hit 12noon where I am in Perth. Assuming you weren't lying about the time, I had asked why the children were at home or not doing homework. When you said you meant the 7th, i was gonna type a quick reply about ignore the fact that I had asked it in the first place.11pm (2300h) is not really something i would expect a 12 year old to pull even on holidays. Regardless of ages, as you had made it seem like it was a permanent ban almost made me unban the account entirely, as that would've been a bit of a jump to do after i had only read it before consulting the Mod who had banned them. When I am not busy, I will shorten the ban to 4 days. Expect that to happen in an hour or 2 from now. Also having the fact that the ban was a tempban and for how long, would've been helpful for someone who wasn't on at the time, like myself, who cant get on at 4am-4pm due to school, to know and to judge correctly. I know how it feels to share an account, I used to with my little sister, then she accidentally logged on the server the other week and, due to a plugin that reverts account names to originals unless told otherwise, screwed up my prefix for a day. I understand the struggle of it and this is why I decided to comment. Susan, My apologies, the "afternoon" was a mistake on my behalf. You are correct, it was night time. Since I have little experience with MineCraft, I was not aware that there was a difference between temporary and permanent bans. To the children and I, a ban is a ban regardless. In America, it is not uncommon for me to allow my children to be up at 11:00 PM during summer break. During the school year though, they have a stricter bedtime curfew. Thank you for reviewing the situation and shortening the ban. |

I personally think that we should unban but i'll leave that decision to Susan and CCShad- Admin Ck After reading it over again, I feel that they should just wait out the ban as your nephew is the owner of the account. |

+1 for the four day sentence as stated by susan. And yeah susan, my sister who is 10 stays up to around 1AM and sleeps in super late due to summer break. So it really isn't so uncommon for kids to stay up to 11.~MICHAEL9999995 (Pretty much a mod) |

Man you kids are lucky these days. When I was school age I had a strict bed time and holidays only allowed us an extra half hour. And there was no playing with computers or phones etc. after bedtime, we were allowed to read a book (the paper kind) for half an hour after bed. My mum checked on us regular during the night. I swear she had secret cameras everywhere, didn't get away with anything. |

Pres, we are talking about the times that we go to sleep during the summer not during school days. Yes, we go to bed very late during the summer without school, but when school starts, the latest that i would go to bed would be 9-10. |
