Hello everyone, This is my Moderator application and I appreciate you all taking the time to read it. I’ve loved my time on Webbcraft and hope I can take it further. I will keep this application updated throughout my attempt to get mod as I appreciate that applying for staff is a long process. I'm currently really enjoying helping other people within the community so feel it is an appropriate time to submit this long-awaited application. Any sort of feedback is welcome, I would like to see what you all think. Your in-game name: Pheonix2000ad / Pheo / Pheoky / Theo / Lanky/ie/ay How old you are: I am 16 years old 04/12/2000 Your gender: Male Have you been banned on any other servers? I have been banned on one server over 6 years ago but that was back when I didn’t realise that if you needed a new front door you couldn’t just take someone else’s. http://imgur.com/833CjI6 Why do you think you should be a moderator? I think that mainly my attitude and relationships with the other players is what suits me to the moderator roll best. I treat every player on the server equally and with respect regardless of their rank. I personally feel that for a staff member, treating people how you would want to be treated is crucial mentality in order to gain approval and acceptance from the whole community. As a result of this I would describe myself as very approachable and helpful which Is what I aim for throughout my time spent on the server. When I first log on and before I log off I ask on chat if anyone needs help with anything and I will often be the first person to answer a requested in chat regarding help with commands/items. I also think that in situations regarding toxicity, griefing or general misbehaving I think I can be strict yet fair in creating the best outcome possible for all parties. I am rarely AFK on the server so am always around to help any players in addition to always being contactable through discord and my other social media outlets. I am also fairly active on the forums and like to keep updated on the antics of the server. I feel my borderline excessive use of discord has aided me to becoming good friends with a lot of the community already and I think it would further help me to emphasis my friendliness and approachability. I also think I play a key role with new player retainment rates due to my helpfulness and the support I give to new defaults. The server does an amazing job of attracting new players but just like any server the problem of keeping them active. I think when a new player joins it is important to help the get set up and portray the ethos of the friendly faction concept further than the generic “welcome” message they receive when joining. I think this more personal approach helps new players feel valued and makes them more likely to stay just like how CCShad (if he remembers) first helped me when I joined! On top of this I also try to take an active part in recruiting players to the sever using applications such as “GamerLink” which helps you meet new people through games and connect with them so they feel like they have a friend before they join the server. I think the fact I have used my initiative to act like this before applying for staff or seeking recognition shows that my sole motive is in favour of the server succeeding. I have also staffed a server of similar size in the past so am familiar with the commands and requirements expected for a playing in this sort of position. This has also given me quite a bit of knowledge regarding running a server and plugins involved which I think helps provide the experience that some say I may lack with time played on the server. How long can you be active on the server every day? Usually about 5-6 hours a day although that can vary either way depending on other commitments with work or football. Despite this I will be on at some point everyday. What country do you live in? I live in England so am in GMT time zone which I feel can be a slightly understaffed zone in respect to other areas. How long have you been on the server? I can’t tell you exactly but around 2 ½ - 3 months but I still think in that time I’ve managed to interact with almost everyone who is regularly on the server. I think that so long as you are a trusted and well-known member of the community it does not matter how soon you apply. James being an example as he applied after a similar amount of time. Concluding thoughts I am aware after writing this that this is fairly long and a little egotistical. I assure you this was not intentional and I have attempted to show why I think I am suited for the role whilst getting straight to the point so many apologies for that. Thank you so much for reading! I don't normally support players I haven't had the pleasure of playing a long time with: 6 months or so. If there's such a player I would surely have to go with Pheo. Polite in every interaction I have had with him. Respectful to me as well as others on the server and a willingness to help beyond what's expected...Not only does he seem to be very qualified but also seems to fit a time zone that is need to be filled. How could anyone not +1 this?Although I'd usually say to wait a bit longer, this is an outstanding player and I'd highly reccomend him for a staff position. The staff tea, is pretty full, infact we actually have a spare trial mod so if we are gonna have more staff why wouldnt we give mod to you? Obviously a +1. Top choice for mod atm |

+1Yes this might be because I'm his friend and all but I'll explain myself anyway. He is a helpful member of the community, Every time I see him on he's either helping iBarry_Allen to use proper english via PM, helping someone out in faction chat, or helping someone in main chat. He and I have talked on occasion and he is very kind and understanding of others. There have also been times he's helped me identify problems with either Hyperion or noticeable ’no-no’s’ thats happened before i logged on, sends me logs as well needing me to verify them. Do I also need to point out, He's also in the UK/EU zone? We need this guy for mod. |

+1 Havent known him for to long a time since he has "Only" been on the server for 3 months and im not that active especially now that i have vacation and is away for the summer (i am back now). Anyway what ive seen of him so far is quite pleasant he is a hard working, calm, generally pleasant guy to be with. He has shown many qualities which are similar of that to a good moderator i would definitely give a +1 and if my future experience of him continues this way i may just have to give him a ++1. |
