Yesterday I was playing on the server for a long time. I had been playing actively mostly, and when I had to have dinner, or do school stuff I stayed logged in. A lot of people have seen me online though. People have been pvping with me, and people have seen me build redstone for them. Then at the end of the day I decided to go afk overnight. When I came back in the morning though, I saw that I had been kicked for "you have been afk for more then 24 hours". Now there are 2 things I want to adress about this:1. There is nor rule against being afk for your farms for a long time, so why should people get kicked for it? 2. I hadnt even been afk for longer then 24 hours. I was planning on staying afk for about 8, but got kicked after about 1. This really sucked, because recently I died and lost all my stuff so I was afk fishing for xp and books to get all of my stuff back. The person who kicked me was cam, but that doesnt really matter to the story. I just want to know what staff thinks of this? Besides the fact that I wasnt actually afk for longer then an hour, I think that kicking people for being afk is weird. As I said before there is no rule against it, and besides that I made an agreement with james to have an off switch for all of the farms which could potetntially produce lag. If Im afk and there is lag which which staff can get to using f bypass near /warp farmersmarket. So even If it is about "producing lag" (which has never happened before) there is a way to prevent this. What I'm hoping for is that there will be a new rule that kicking people for being afk is not allowed, because in my opinion it's power abuse. Thanks for reading my complaint! P.S. While I was writing this I was afk at the server: I hope I didnt get kicked :P |

There doesn't need to be a new rule to prevent kicking afk players, because there is already a rule about abuse of commands.Afk players are important for making the server look more active, so not only did cam abuse you and ruin your fun; he also damaged the online player count which is important for our growth. |

Maybe cam saw that you were on a lot before and didn't see you doing anything or talking in chat and did /who and noticed that you were afk so just assumed that you were afk the whole time. Then cam might've just experienced some lag and thought that it was you and wanted to help the server by attempting to get rid of the lag. The reason for cam kicking you might've just been an attempt to help reduce lag (I know the things you use do not cause much lag but cam might not know that). Idk but I don't really think that this is abuse. This might have just been a mistake. |

Ive also seen staff members, ADMINS kick people for afk. I wont be naming names, because it doesnt really matter and I dont want to start a bunch of stuff. But I think the misconception that AFK causes lag is far to common, and should be discussed with donators and staff members, anyone who can use kick. Staff can obviously do it staff chat or skype, and for donators it can be added to the donator rule board, as a notice. : P |

Micheal that wasnt it. I was afk fishing, so I wasnt shown as afk in the /who menu. Cam said that he kicked me because, and I quote "I said your name in chat multiple times, and you didnt respond so I assumed you were in an afk fishing pool" |

you're whining about being kicked for being afk? shut the hell up. the only reason people afk is to make it look like they're active, or to get free shit from farms cuz they're too lazy to get it themselves, like any other normal player. minecraft is made to play, not to log on and go afk for 15 hours a day. |

its just annoying to see people on for 20 hours a day, but only active for 2 hours a day, while i was on for 20 hours a day, and active 19 hours of that. |

Personally, I've seen staff and donators alike kick people for being in-active. I understand why Loud is pissed, but as it is said, there's no specific rule that is being broken. I don't think I can agree with this being abuse though. However, I feel that if an afk player (or supposed afk player) is to be kicked, that they are teleported to, to see if they are, in fact doing something. Therefore, people like Loud, who was afk fishing, won't have to worry. If a player is not contributing to the use of an afk farm or spawner or something, and they are afk for a long time, I can see why people would want them kicked. |

Asriel dont go complaining about how ur sooo sad that you have to get the items yourself while others use farms... I sell most of my farmed stuff for really low prices at /warp farmersmarket so you could buy it there, or just make your own farms and then we are even. I dont really see your problem.... |

When I was mod I only ever kicked an afk person if they were at a mob spawner that was overly packed (had no auto-kill mechanism) and I would also make sure to send a /mail to them to explain. It was only ever when people where complaining about it, I did not actively seek it out. |
