Alright, lets get down and dirty mah doodz.People have been upset about creative mode, specifically the nonexistence of it in the server, and I'm frankly sick of it. Luigi, this forum post is for you, so hopefully you'll take my points into consideration. The Backstory I will be separating this section into 3 subsections, for easy-access purposes: -Pre-Transition A long time ago on this server, Builders and Donators would be able to get creative mode, and it was great! Until players started to abuse the commands, and the creative mode, and they brought a period of havoc that we will be calling the "Transition" because of the fact that it was a period of transition. Now, people have begun to abuse the commands they were given for donating money to the server, which was a big no-no, and originally, the commands were just removed from the abuser and that was the end of it. Sadly, more and more people were abusing commands, and it was just "too much" to handle, even though it really shouldn't have been. This is when the Transition started. -The Transition After the increase of power abuse, Luigi decided that it was too much to handle, and removed the big abuse commands, such as creative mode. Now, there's a shiny new map, and a new gamemode that EVERYBODY was put in, survival, and people hated it. "Wait, so you're telling me that the commands that I donated for have been taken away from me? And that you still say that those commands are shown on the site? This is bullshit!" And people were very mad, and some quit the server. -Post-Transition Here we are today, after the transition, and still nobody has creative mode except for a certain few people, such as Eddie, and some staff, and I personally think that it's at least time for a little change? Right? The Build Team The build team was founded by Luigi to build the Mushroom Co. spawn in an old world, it used to have creative Pre-Transition, but now it doesn't, and it's just useless. A lot of people wonder why the build team doesn't have creative, and I do too. Isn't the build teams job to build server structures with creative? Isn't the build team supposed to have creative? Well not even the build team, the living construct of creativity on this server, has creative, and because of that, all that we have as a spawn is a nasty hut that looks like it was built by a 4 year old's first attempt at playing this game. Do you really want the first thing that players think to be "Oh wow this spawn looks like shit." or do you want them to think "Dear lord this spawn looks awesome! I think I'm going to stick around a while!." Your choice Luigi. Donator Ranks A lot of you know that the Donator ranks still say that they will get creative, and a whole bunch of commands that they really won't get, now, this isn't as big of an issue, (even though it is), but it still needs to be solved. Whether it may be giving Donors creative, or just simply changing the advertised content on the site, it still needs to be changed. The Point Overall, I've said a lot of stuff in this Topic, more than I've ever written for a Minecraft server in my life, but Luigi, you have to address the situation, I know you said that people will get it back, but that's all you said, not when, not if soon, not if later, but people will get it back. Luigi, some of our staff don't have creative, and to me that's a problem that should be addressed, but I'm not the owner, and I can't address it. So please, pay attention to us, and do something, say something. The public hasn't heard anything from you about this topic for a while, so if you could. Please reply to this topic. -Aouldrain |

I believe that admins have creative. Other than that, the build team should have creative, as their job is to build, and if a person is put on build team they have been deemed trustworthy and won't abuse. Donators, on the other hand, don't need creative, however it would still be nice. Otherwise we still should update the donation page. |

i think donators and builders should get creative, but the second they are caught abusing, they get it taken away permanently. |

You've missed a lot of things in this story.- Originally A long long time ago, there were no ranks on this server. Everyone played in survival mode. Then when the server became public, we got ranks, and with them admins got every permission, including creative mode. The builder rank was the only other rank that got creative mode, but was only held by 3 people. - The corruption When the builder rank became a donator rank and the Donator rank was introduced in March 2013, other people began to get creative mode. This wasn't an issue at first because there weren't many, but soon there cases of abuse, such as with the shop, giving out items, etc, which I attempted to correct through adding new rules and removing some permissions. However, the real problem was still there. - Renewal Every new map we have started fresh, and gone back to what this server was originally for: survival mode. This is to maximise the fun everyone gets out of exploring and surviving in a new map, without creative mode cheaters spoiling that experience by giving out items. I have always wanted to maximise this time, however eventually donators got creative mode back, until now. This time, the map reset again prematurely, which has made this an even longer period without creative mode than usual. I never said people will get it back, I just said that's what has happened in the past. There's no telling what the future will hold. ------------- I did not found the build team, lifoo did. Also, if you haven't noticed, I have updated the donation page on the website, and it no longer lists any commands or abilities received, like what donations originally were on the old website. This should reinforce the fact that it's a donation and people shouldn't expect to receive anything. |
