i understand that it can be a bit more difficult to handle playerdata with constant username changes, but you guys are taking it way too seriously. i mean, chances of being unbanned dropped to 0% because they changed their username? that's kinda dumb. no other server that i have played on has had any problem with players changing their username, and i honestly don't see the problem either, as my server can handle them just fine, with no loss of any data.this is one example of tom saying that this player's chances of being unbanned have dropped because they changed their username http://webbcraft.co.uk/forum/read_topic.php?id=6026, and i think what he said was really douchey. even if the server is too weak to support UUID and username changes, the player shouldn't be punished for changing their username.  |

The banlist recognises username changes so banned players who have changed their username remain banned. However, the unban command is part of essentials which doesn't recognise username changes and will give a "player not found" error if that username has never joined the server before, thus a player who changes their username whilst banned cannot be unbanned unless they change it back. |

i don't really know how that works on this server, but on mine, as long as i unban them using their new username, it works just fine.edit: just realized my friend applied a custom banning plugin that supports username changes. it includes custom ban, kick, and block log commands. |
