Never in my past five years of Minecraft been banned in any multiplayer server for any reason. Why do you think you should be a moderator? I believe the server in its current state has too much drama and chaos in the chat, and the current staff is too afraid to punish. I am very much aware of this, and I have been in the middle of two arguments since I have joined about a month ago. Both 'staff' were too afraid of hurting their friends' feelings instead of serving the proper punishment rightly. I can turn this around, however. If the argument becomes chaotic, I'll look at both sides of the argument and I decide based on a non-biased view, and the argument is settled. If they continue, they get a mute. I'm sorry to say, but the server is lacking mature and experienced moderators. I have been an authoritarian figure on many past servers, I know how to manage a community well and keep everyone safe. Nine times out of ten, a server staff figure is there due to the power and the fun commands that they receive with the position.; it's not about them thinking they want to deal with criminals. That's the problem; most staff figures are irrational and immature. How long can you be active on the server every day? I can be on for up to 4+ hours a day, in the Pacific Time Zone. What country do you live in? I live in the United States of America, in Oregon. How long have you been on the server? I have been on the server for about a month now. Sparqy, L3genD is correct to some degree, we often have people that come and act nice and instantly apply for mod, just so they can be mod on a server somewhere and they tend to not put much effort in and deliver what hey promised.I'm not saying that's what you're going to do but it would be nice to see you become a well known part of the community, and also have a lot of play time. I myself did not apply until I had been here for about 8 months. |

I was just going with what Luigi had told me. There are no time factors here.I saw a flaw in the moderation system, and I wanted to fill the gap. The staff doesn't seem to be, I'm sorry if this bothers you, neglecting their powers. The past two arguments I've been in have resulting in me losing and being muted because the other side had a friend of the moderator or admin in the server. It just isn't right, and luigi needs to address that. It's why I added it into my application. You don't run a server like that, everyone should be treated the same. You don't choose sides because your friend is on that side, you stand back and look at the facts and decide whether to rule one way or the other. It's justice, and in the chat it clearly is corrupt. I wanted to become moderator so I could fairly judge the argument and punish whoever was guilty of any broken rules. Arguments are fine; it's the ones that become chaotic and names start being called and curse words... you know the gist. It's times like these where the chat needs a fair and competent, mature judge to decide who gets punished, or if both of them need one because they don't seem to stop. The staff now seem a bit afraid of using the mute command, and it really bothers me. There was one instance where a player was spamming, flooding, really making everyone irritated. The admin on duty at the time felt 'stressed' and couldn't work, as they quoted. The player that was spamming never received any punishment, and the players that started the argument were tempbanned for stating their mind... It just isn't right. That's where I come in. Now, I know I may be young on this server, but if I could get to know you all, would it help? I'm not the two-face kind of guy you'd regularly see. I act respectful to everyone because I really had to growing up, as my family was very militaristic and formal. Everyone should be treated with the same amount of respect as the person before them. It's just.. courtesy. Sorry, if I do annoy you with my constant "sir," or "ma'am", it's just what I do. The server's community, aside from the constant chaos in the chat, is quite nice, in retrospect. I love it more than my old server. Moreover, I'm not going anywhere. I'm planning on donating $18 to the server this next weekend, and get myself a Builder's rank. Thanks for feedback, Chip. I told myself that if this failed, I could always try again. Actually Chip, I applied like as soon as I joined the server.. maybe a day after the first time I joined. But got Moderator after two months and 3 months into being a Moderator I got Admin... :3+1 This application is very well made, clearly a mature player and I'd love to see you join our staff team as a Moderator. Much appreciated, Lerz. Thank you for your honesty.I don't recall being disrespectful and resentful to anyone in the server, leaving out the incident with wowman. I was trying to joke around with wowman2002 in the chat at the time, and I am assuming he took it the wrong way and it ultimately led to a chaotic chat. I did not wish to look disrespectful, and I decided it was best to ignore him before we became too My condolences, Beetle and Wowman. Please take and evaluate my apology generously, if I left you feeling uncomfortable and wary around me during this time. I did not intend to harm anyone's feelings physically or mentally. What can I do to fix this? Thank you for your generous, honest votes, I appreciate all the feedback you've given me. Your apology is not accepted, your a class a homophone who said "EW GAY" over my name and started bragging about your homophobic beliefs which nobody agreed to. Everyone on the server was offended. You're a disgrace to this server, a high amount of our players and staff are LGBT+ and you'll have to deal with them, and yes you will be biased against them.Obviously I'm withdrawing my +1 and -1ing. It was all a joke, and I never intended it to hurt you this badly. I didn't brag about any of my false beliefs on the server. The only thing I said was 'ew, Gay,' as in replying to you, as your nickname started with Gay. I said this right after you openly commented about "Unicorns and Rainbows" in the chat, and I thought I might tease you a bit. Didn't really work out in the end Anywho, there's no need to blow this out of proportion. I am not homophobic, I openly accept people with different sexual preferences, and I quite honestly don't care about it. Be yourself, it's your life. But, thank you, wowman. It wasn't until the swearing kicked in I knew I couldn't turn it around, so I've been trying to apologize since then. Trust me, Beetle, I mean no harm physically, mentally, or emotionally to anyone on this server. The community is a fun, safe haven and it should stay like that. I understand my mistakes. -1.You have shown to me, that you are mature once you have had the time to sit down and think of what you're saying - as a moderator that is the opposite of what is needed, you have to make mature decisions when put on the spot. You certainly have not done such things as far as you have been here. You find an excuse for everything wrong you do and you can't just admit it when you're in the wrong. Trying to make out that your mistakes were jokes just makes you out to be a liar and you will end up with everyone despising you. I have already spoke to several players and staff about opinions on you; they already can't stand you. It's best that if you're wrong that you just flat out face up that you fucked up and apologise - and you do it immediately. Someone I have spoke to can imagine you as being an abusive staff member that cannot see when You'd clearly be in the wrong. I just don't understand how I can be thought of as this immature and rude?I've always tried to show the utmost respect to our staff and our fellow members. I never have hurt anyone besides the accidental Wowman. Two guys jostling each other turned into chaos. I obviously can't become what I hoped for in this process when I have someone who can't accept apologies, even knowing the truth yet still lying about it. Also, Chip? What do you mean? +1 I like your app, it's very well put together and i feel very "comfortable" when reading it. I fully agree with you when you talk about staff siding with friends, that should not affect the persons judgement. You seem to be fairly mature to me both in-game and on the forum. Although i'd like to see you helping more, then it's a definite +1 from me. We need more mature and experienced staff members like yourself. |
