I was wondering: what does a moderator get to do? What are the pros and cons?

Do you not have the common sense on where to put stuff like this? This goes in the general section not the Moderater APPLICATIONS. Scroll down the Moderator Applications forum, do you see ANY recent post like this? Can someone please get rid of this?

although this is in the wrong section, I feel your questions should be answered. by a well experienced staff member.

A moderators job is to, funnily enough, Moderate the server. Punish players that are causing harm and breaking rules, these punishments range from small to large consequences. which is anything from a mute, all the way over to the most extreme, which is an IP address ban.

The pros to being a staff member are obviously that people need to listen to you, you gain friends from being such a high member of the community and you also gain respect (in most cases).
my favourite pro to being staff is that i can help players, it brings a smile to my face when I see that I have succeeded in ending the bad things, and make it all better for players!

The cons to being a Mod/Staff member is that a lot of stress comes with it. if you mess up one time then you get people writing complaints about you and not exactly being civilised about issues.
there are peaks sometimes when you log on and 10 million people need your help... it drains your energy xD
also when you get 'toxic' players that join just to grief and/or be verbally abusive, that's not too bad at all but it depends on the number of the players that join.

but from my eyes, the pros strongly weigh out the cons. the cons don't happen so often and the pros are pretty much constant.
