Hello!I have had the idea for this post as it is driving me crazy seeing people that put down the necessary information in their moderator application. If you simply click on "Forum", (In blue), you scroll down to Moderator apps, don't click it, but look just below it, it will explain what a moderator application is and how to do it, however what I am going to do is help you make it even better than that. I think the more information you have on it the better the application is. Bare in mind, just because you have made a good application doesn't mean your definitely going to me accepted. This is the format provided: Your in-game name: How old you are: Your gender (male or female): Have you been banned on any other servers? Why do you think you should be a moderator? How long can you be active on the server every day? What country do you live in? How long have you been on the server? A moderator application is made when you believe you would be suitable for the position of staff. Making more than one will only hurt your chances, and if you want to make a new one, either request the old ones delete or just edit it. A few tips: -Don't put unnecessary details: "I like cheese, food" -Don't lie. "I can be on 24 hours a day 7 days a week" This is impossible obviously, especially if you have school and stuff, people recognize it when you lie. Don't ever lie on the question, "Have you ever been banned on other servers?" Because its not exactly hard to find out. Additional things you can add to your mod app: -Experience: *I was a mod on so and so server for so many years, etc etc. I was a helper on bla bla bla, for so many years, months, days. I am currently mod on.... you get the idea. But always add why your no longer a staff member on that server. Example: (Never include the server name or you'll be banned for advertisement) -I was a helper on a classic minecraft server for two years, I worked my way up to moderator and then admin. The reason I no longer work for this server is because it shut down. -I was a moderator on a skyblock server for 6 months, unfortunately, like the other one it closed. -I was an admin on a tekkit server, but I resigned because "anything". And so, you get the idea.... You can also add your minecraft skills: -Redstone skills: -Building skills: -Survival skills: Show off your knowledge: -Plugin information, commands, etc. Maybe tell them some contributions you have made to the server. -Construction of "public place" -I donated Etc etc, contributions are things you have done to help the server. Never ask for votes or for people to "check out your mod app" This will only hurt your chances at becoming a moderator. However, you can win their votes. This is what I did: Why you should vote for me? I am not asking for votes, but if your going to vote, here is why you should +1: You deserve a better community, someone who can be there to help, most of the time, I believe I can offer this with my social skills, general minecraft skills, moderating experience, staffing experience and frequent activity. Imagine your a politic, however ALWAYS put, "I am not asking for votes" before doing something like this, and be careful with it. One submitted, a moderator application will not instantly be accepted or denied, It could take a week, a month, a few months, a year, etc. It may never be accepted or denied. I repeat, do not make more than one moderator application. Original format: I will complete it with my information, don't copy it but have an idea more or less of what to put down. In-game name: Wowman2002. Age: 14 years old, birth date 9/2. Gender: Male. Have you been banned on any other servers? I have been banned twice on other servers. I joined MineCraft as a new player, and was not aware of what "griefing" was, same with "raiding". So basically I knocked down a guys house and was banned for griefing, then I logged back on and raided the guy then I was banned for "raiding". Ban was perm and I cant recall the server name. Being new to MC, I did not know what it meant until I looked it up on google. Why should I be a helper? I am very helpful, I help new players, tell them to read the rules, etc. I help with commands, mostly faction commands, to those who do not understand them, etc. I am familiar with all the server commands, I do what I am told, and I know how to discipline people in a correct manner. I know who is in the wrong and who is in the right. I am a very social person, now anyway. I believe I can help our community in so many ways. My time frame: I live in Spain, I am one hour ahead of the UK time and that´s when there are no staff on. I hardly ever go AFK and If I do its not for long and I keep checking. I can be on from anything to 2 and a half hours a day to 9 hours, school days & weekends. How long I have been on the server: I am not 100%, I know it´s been over 5 months now, almost 6. 6 questions, simple questions, but put in as much information as possible, NECCESARY INFORMATION, as it will help you in this field. Then the additional questions if you wish, but them 6 questions are not optional, except for the age one witch under no circumstances you are obliged to tell anyone, especially in a game. You can joke around with a moderator application, if you know what I mean, you don't have to be serious at all times, your allowed to joke, but don't take it too far, don't insult anyone or anything like this. Even if its silly like: Gender: Male, (I don't plan on changing this), now a famous webbcraft one that everyone copied from me :( xD. Show off your grammar skills! Its okay to make a mistake, but don't make stupid mistakes and don't have lots of grammar mistakes, If your bad at grammar I suggest a corrector and/or checking it all manually with a dictionary. Show people your mature! Be nice at all times, don't abuse power, contribute a lot, help all you can, dedicate time and effort to helping people, and basically, your moderator material. Wowman you started with a great idea then you spam it to death. The second thing you did wrong is tell people to not ask for votes by telling them "i'm not asking for votes"? How do you exactly win votes?This has me confused. It seems a lie in it self..... but other then that you did good, it would have been a great Pin for the forums...I thought votes were earned from the people for the people? |

They are.Don't ask for votes, earn them, win them. Give people a reason to vote for you without asking for it. Help people, do things to contribute to the server, give people a reason to vote for you. Sorry about the spam, the picture wasn't meant to be that big. Nevertheless, I have requested the photos be deleted and should be done within the next few hours. |
